If it's about original copies of the games you own, I guess it would be okay
to call me both Micro Cabin and Falcom-man. I have every single title they
released in my collection... Except for the almost unknown Japanese

I can easily finish Nemesis 1, 2, or 3 (Although I may use 1 or 2

Hello!

*sigh* I never got further than level 2 with Salamander.

I am perfectly able to pass all levels ... except the warp one (the one you get
with Nemesis2) and the last one. The first 5 levels are quite easy if you are
trained correctly, the last two one (warp+5) aren't as easy to me as the
others...

Anyway, I finished once the game with the happy end (I only finished operation
5+ once), and a lot of times with the sad ending (I didn't want to pass op 5+,
so I didn't put Nemesis2 in slot 2).

But it's an exellent 2-player game (F1-Spirit as well)!!! Really had lots of

I agree with you !! Anyway, I prefer to play alone (4 options for you alone!)

Maybe my version also had this poke? (I have a cracked disk version...)

Re: Happy End in Salamander

2000-05-15 Thread Rafael Lima

Well, tell us what the other way IS then. We're exploding of curiousity...

GreeTz, BiFi

hahaha, That's what I wanted to do! :-)

To see the happy end in Salamander, you have to play the planets in the
order (I don't remember the names now, but you have to play then in order,
first the one that appear in the top, then the one in the middle, then the
one in the bottom)

Each of those levels has a secret place..when you find this secret place,
you'll get what I used to call a "chapter"...each chapter tells the story
about all the battle..that's why you need to play the planets in order...

Then...after playing the planets in order AND finding the "chapters" , you
will be transported to the secret stage..

find the last chapter in the secret stage, face a new last boss, and see the
happy end!!

I am not too sure if this is 100% correct (It was a long ago the last time I
finished this game), but for what I remember, that's the way to do it. Also,
I don't remember the location of the 'chapter" in the stages...I recommend
to play the game in a .DSK file, with a poke to be invicible. Then, move
your ship EVERYWHERE in EVERY stage...

The places where you find those "chapters" are like the places you find the
secret weapons in Nemesis 3!!

Good luck

Re: Happy End in Salamander

2000-05-15 Thread Néstor Soriano

I am not too sure if this is 100% correct

Sure: it is not correct. 8-)

The prediction chapters can be found always, even if you have not
Nemesis 2 in the other slot.

The chapter of Eioneus and Kierke (the first and the third planet you
can choose, respectively) tell you how to kill the boss of the current
stage, concretely they say the color of the nucleus you must shoot at.

The chapter of Kierke (the second planet on the list, the metal fortress)
tells you how to kill the last boss of the game (the one appearing after
the "big eye" in the last stage), again by revealing the colour of the
nucleus to be shooted at.

In the last planet there is also a prediction chapter. It says something
about that you must a crystal to defeat the eveil. ¿And how to find
this crystal? Well, just insert Nemesis 2 in slot 2 and search along
Eioneus and Kierke: the crystal is hidden somewhere in one of these
planets but you will not find it if you have not Nemesis 2 inserted. And
of course you can't play Operation X without Nemesis 2 inserted (BTW
this stage has not prediction chapter at all). In fact, if you try to
cheat MSX to make Salamander think that there is Nemesis 2 in slot 2
without actually having anything (there is a poke for this), Operation X
will appear, but graphics will be just white blocks! It is funny! ;-)

So as you can see, the order in which you select the planets is not
important for finishing the game (the prediction does not tell anything
about the battle in sequence as you say, but about a concrete monster).

(It was a long ago the last time I finished this game)

Also me. But a Konami Man can't forget such things. ;-)

 I recommend
to play the game in a .DSK file, with a poke to be invicible. Then, move
your ship EVERYWHERE in EVERY stage...

Nah! CHICKEN!!! X-D

Play Salamander without any poke if you are man enough!! X-) (sorry
girls, no offence!) (^^!)

The places where you find those "chapters" are like the places you find the
 secret weapons in Nemesis 3!!

The chapter of Lavinia is always in the same place: after the scroll
goes upside down and when it starts to go from left to right again, you
will find a laser shooting base in the floor. Destroy it and enter in
the hole it left in the floor when exploding.

 Good luck

Yep, you will need it! ;-)

Re: Happy End in Salamander

2000-05-15 Thread Nestor Soriano

Correct me if I am wrong, but everyone still thinks the only way to see the
 Happy end in Salamander
is to put Salamander in Slot A and Nemesis 2 in Slot B?

AND to get the Crystal Breeze, hidden somewhere in the game.

Am I the only one who knows the other way to play the "secret stage"?

(!!Oo) What? Is there another way? How???
