Is the NMS1431 compatible with any other printer? Matrix printers
compatible with Epson or IBM Proprinter standards were quite common
in the old days. Sometimes there is a DIP switch to specify
compatibility mode.
AFAIK the 1431 isn't compatible with any EPRON or IBM matrix-printer.

I don't know if there are any rules established concerning the colour of
the wire(s), but if there is a red coloured one, the best thing to do is
to use it as physical pin/lead 1. (Note the fact that the flatcables
used for the Philips nms8255 also have a red wire, but it is *not*

load MAP (disable mapper functions) and do a ASSIGN A: B:, if you have
it running on drive B: in a subdir. Then it worked. (It's so stupid to

Not really... The Philips CM8833 is a CGA monitor as well, and I
think it's the most used monitor for MSX.
I've got a CM8833-II, this is originally a CGA-monitor, but has also a
RGB-input (9 pin Sub-D). This input is the one we use for MSX. Not all
CGA-monitors do have this input...

Adobe Acrobat is suitable for scanning images and text and can write it down
as PDF-file.

It's called a cotton swab I think, but I'm not sure...
Anyway, it will work also, but contact cleaner is designed to solve oxides
and sulfates, so it will work on really dirty connectors as well.
It is best to clean the contacts with alcohol after the use of the "contact
cleaner"...
