Hello All,
I've been using MythTV for a while now with a pvr-250 and it's been

HI,
I'm running myth on an amd64 machine wuth Ubuntu Hoary installed, and
myth compiled from cvs on 4/4 with gcc-3.4. I'm recording with an
Air2pc card using an OTA antenna.
Tonight I set up myth to record Desprete House Wives, and Grey's
Anatomy. on my abc affiliate at 9pm and 10:02 pm I
I've been playing around with getting my cable companies (Comcast, New
Castle Co. Delaware) QAM free to air broadcasts working with my
HD3000 card using the dvb drivers. I actuall am able to tune all the
local HD channels, INHD 12 and a lot of simulcast digital std
content. The problem is that

From some posts I was part of to the ffmpeg users list, some one noted
that 3/23 and 3/28 were working, but I haven't tried them myself.

I finally got my PX-TV402U working with my laptop, compiled mythtv
from cvs, and set things up, and I have to say way to go Devs!
I got a little confused at first as I only got a green screen and
sound on playback, but adjusting the Live TV transcoding settings,
took care of that.

Just curious if anyone out there has a Plextor ConvertX TV402U and has
it working with debian or a debian derived distro like ubuntu. I'm
having a nightmare of a time just getting the driver to work. builds
fine, but the second phase firmware fails to load. I've been spaming

Some new SOHO routers have QoS built in, you may be able to tweak this
to give more priority to your Mythtv traffic as well as scale the
frames packets for best throughput.

Now is it bugs in XvMC or is it the way mythtv is using it? I can play
dvd's with XvMC enabled for hours and hours and hours.. yet about 20
minutes of mythtv and ffw/rw/pause and hard lockups happen all the

believe that is the purpose of the schedular, however i think you
have to actually click to accept the channel change as it shows up
like a scheduled listing in the OSD. There may be an option to
auto-change but i havn't farted around enough with that.
