Yep, I have 4 clocks now running with no wobble. One of them that has
been running for almost 2 years with nary a twitch! FIrst I recommend
you do some stability testing to weed out the unruly ones first
because some of these things are just plan finicky and no matter what
you do, you can't tame

I have several with similar darkening, and they are just fine. But, like
Jeff says, it most likely has a few hours on it. It may be fine and then
again, it may not! No way to tell until you get your hands on it. I can
tell you this, most of the 5680's I have that have this sort of darkening
with
cathode poisoning and want to come by so you can show me how to best
recondition them. I have somewhere between six and a dozen Z568 or Z5680
tubes which need some love from cathode poisoning.

passed away this 4th of July weekend. Jeff was a tremendous guy and an

This is a truly sad day. Jeff Thomas, who most of us know as the inventor
of the classic Nixisat, NixiChron, and countless other Nixie classics has
passed away this 4th of July weekend
