It's been a while --- time to finally release a 5.10 pre-release
candidate. Consider this a feature freeze and the master branch should
only be used for bug fixes at this point. Please give 5.10.pre1 a
whirl -- it certainly won't be perfect yet.

No that is not possible. It actually doesn't have to do with Net-SNMP,
the SNMPv3 protocol alone requires a separate user name if you need

re how the alarm stack got corrupted.
Do you have private code loaded into the agent as well? Or is this
stock net-snmp code without modifications? Either way, you should
upgrade to the latest net-snmp release as 5.7.3 was quite a while ago.

engineID? If you're using a "string", the encode engineid still has
some leading binary information to indicate it was set as a string. IE,
the engineID consists of more than just the string itself (per the
SNMPv3 RFCs).
