OP: Whereabouts are you located? I've trawled CL recently in my own
local area and seen a couple parts bikes for a 650, maybe there's one
in your area?

I get to keep at my schedule for another 3-5 years, though. :D

So who here has done a ferry crossing on a bike? As I mentioned in

Canada and then take a ferry back across old Erie to Sandusky and then
home. I discovered the ferry only runs to Sandusky through the end of

Hi,
I've done a few without incident. Most of the time the ferry guys will put
you at the back of the line so you aren't mixed in with the cars. Put out
your side stand and enjoy the trip. Good luck!

I think the seat can be repaired by stitching in a piece of leather under

It is definitely worth it, as the engine will go on much longer still.

I've rode the Galveston ferry, not as much fun as I thought it would
be. The deckhand didn't know anything about bikes, put me on the far
right side of the boat so the slope of the deck meant I couldn't leave
the bike on the kickstand. The seagulls circling overhead made me
nervous as well :P

That's part of the reason I'm going via ferry. There are a lot of

Hello Group,
I am currently based in Dubai/ UAE.
Rescued a CB 750 Nighthawk that was left in the open for the past 3 years to
rot!
I've restored 8 British motorcycles in the past, this is my first attempt with
a
Japanese machine.
On the positive side, I've started the engine and the

Well, dry rot I suppose.
Three liters of your finest 10w-40 motorcycle oil will do perfectly
with a filter change. Or, if you're regularly going to see 43+C temps
you can move up to a 20w-40 oil.
