Thanks, great idea - being more precise. What I found is - there are two
different part numbers, and the part number changed over from 1998-to-1999.
>From (1998) - 45126-MW3-671, To (1999-2002) - 45126-MW3C71; and part price
went from $44.44 to $41.57 (so definitely a different part).
But just think of the money it would save you on hotels and airlines!

A way to be sure:
Go to any parts supplier that offers microfiche lookup of parts (like
http://www.servicehonda.com). Look up brake lines for a 1996 NH750, then
look up same for your model year. If part numbers are the same, it's a
match.

When I was a kid I worked in a bicycle shop. We always had a can of
hairspray on hand. Spray allot and the grip will slide right on. the
hairspray drys and the grips a locked in place. If you ever have to
replace the grips you can slide a flat head screw driver under the grip,
spray a littl
Brake check is when you get in front of another driver and aggressively
apply the brakes to "teach them a lesson." However in the case of a 400lb
motorcycle brake checking a 4000 lb 4x4 the only lesson learned is that the
biker is a moron.

To all what Allen said, I will add check the inside of the gas tank for
corrosion, and probably it is just better to take it out, empty it, and
give a good clean before reinstalling. The same for the petcock. Also, I
would replace the fluids in the forks and in the shat drive.

One of the nicest mods you can do to your NH. I don't see why it wouldn't
fit a 02. As far as I know they didn't change anything on the brakes.

What year? If it is another 83-85 650 then you are in luck they have great
parts availability. You will need to clean the carbs, change fluids,
disassemble and clean the calipers and master cylinders, and clean all
electrical connectors. Brake lines should be replaced as the factory says

New to this group as of about ten seconds ago. Not new to Nighthawks, though.
I bought a new CB650SC in 1983 and rode it for about four years. It's a common
story, I know, but when I sold this bike, I was a father with young children.
Later today, I'll have another Nighthawk, I hope. A rare

The major difference will be in the suspension and brakes. It's amazing how
much better the last gen NH handles over my GS, and the GS was considered a
superior handling bike over it's contemporaries.

Does anyone have experience on this. I'm wanting to upgrade my 2002 NH750
front brake line to stainless-steel and found this Russell Kit:

The Russell specs say fitment is 1991-1998 NH750 (only). The models

so from never having a CB 750 SOHC and DOHC - I have kind of avoided them,
preferring the later technology of the Nighthawks, I now have three of them,
