Thanks for that - will persevere... What about the fact that I have a bluish smoke and a strong smell of gasoline coming out of the pipes? Not sure if I had mentioned, but I had installed pancake air pods and rejetted the carbs accordingly. While the pilot screws are at the factory recommended

One carb, you will not be able to adjust, # 3 in your case I think, the one that has the vacuum tube. So that is the one you synch the other three to, whatever it reads. The trick is getting it running fairly well at idle to get a true reading. Yes let it run longer to get #1 running. We’ve all

I bought the HF ultra sonic cleaner. Used Simple green. Took off bowls and removed jets. Also top half. Very easy. Did two carbs for 30 minutes the flipped it and then the other two. Let soak and repeated it. Came out like new. I also have a Valkyrie so I know carbs. It has six. I've done all

Too bad, I’m about 3 and a half hours away in PA.. so first of all, tap the carb bowls with a hammer or such in case the floats are stuck. Then if the bike will run, start it up and run it for a while, 20 mins or so. If carbs still leak, tap the bowls again. All this to eliminate the possibility
