Try shutting off the fuel supply (if you have the vacuum hose to the valve,
pull it off and plug it). Start the engine and run it until it runs out of
fuel. Switch the fuel supply back on and restart. Sometimes something gets
stuck in the needle valve / seat and this might flush it through.
Jenya, If you are going to do the carbs yourself I would suggest that you
get on cx/gl500 forum and order Larry carb book. Go to technical help in
forum and ask for link to him. Supposed to be the "carb bible" . Won't
tell you how to get them out but you should find that in your factory
service
Mine is CB650 Nighthawk - 1983.

eliminate the possibility

I am in NYC - Brooklyn. Not sure if there is anyone around who can help?
Hope there is. I am in love with this bike, but the previous owner did
neglect it and now I am paying for the years of neglect. If someone is
around Brooklyn (Sheepshead bay Area) and can help me get this bike sorted
out, I
Had stored the bike (1983 NH 650) in the warm garage since early November.
Had drained the carb bowls, turned the petcock to off position.
Today was a nice warm day so i decided to start it - all of the sudden,
the fuel started leaking from the carbs down to a starter and oil enclosure.
