[NTG-context] booklet set up

2007-12-06 Thread Vyatcheslav Yatskovsky
Hello,

I'm creating a textbook as a booklet (two A5 per A4), and have difficulties.

1) If I use imposition command \setuparranging, then Luatex doesn't process
references. I know, there are workarounds, but I prefer to create A5 pages and
then impose them using nice Acrobat plugin. However, I don't know how to make
Luatex to process left and right pages differently (for future imposing). If I
set "left margin", then it is really left through the document, but I need it
to be on the right every second page, and vice versa. How to achieve it?

(I tried 'mirrored' option in \setuppapersize, and got funny result) ;)

2) I was always scared by explanation of \showlayout on texshow:

"Horizontal: (if singleside then outside is at right and inside is at left)
===
width => width of text area
  middle: automatic calculation consider A) params
  fit: automatic calculation consider A)+B) params
  dimension: cutspace should be 0 and is calculated according to backspace

A) params: (\paperwidth=\backspace+\makeupwidth+\cutspace)
backspace => width of inner margin
cutspace => width of outer margin (if 0 then = backspace!)
"...

 and so on. It looks like a program, not manual, and I never understood it,
despite it explains very important concept, missed on Wiki -- 'fit' and
'middle' options. Can someone throw a light on these?

Best regards,
Vyatcheslav

Re: [NTG-context] Verses

2007-12-06 Thread Vyatcheslav Yatskovsky
Hello,

I have used these settings (it prevents verses from splitting, and makes an
indent for  chorus):

\setupinterlinespace[line=1.5em]
%(optional, but looks better)

\definestartstop
  [verse]
  [before=\vbox\bgroup\startlines,
   after=\stoplines\egroup]

\definestartstop
  [chorus]
  [before=\startnarrower\startlines,
   after=\stoplines\stopnarrower]

but later (don't remember why) I used the following:

\definestartstop
  [verse]
  [before=\blank\startlinecorrection\ruledvbox\bgroup\startlines,
   after=\stoplines\egroup\stoplinecorrection\blank]

\definestartstop
  [chorus]
  [before=\blank\startnarrower\startlines,
   after=\stoplines\stopnarrower\blank]

\setuplines[before=\nowhitespace,after=\nowhitespace]

Usage example:

 \startverse
I see ya blowin' me a kiss
It doesn't take a scientist
To understand what's going on baby
If you see something in my eye
Let's not over analyze
Don't go too deep with it baby
\stopverse

\startverse
So let it be what it'll be
Don't make a fuss and get crazy over you and me
Here's what I'll do
I'll play loose
Run like we have a day with destiny
\stopverse

I also vote for publishing verse setup (maybe not this exactly) at Wiki. I
think that good setup should protect from breaking verses, emphasize choruses
(if any), and don't introduce excessive vertical spacing.

Now it provides four separate options:

- Get latest setup files (recommended)
- Get latest distribution files (recommended)
- Make format files (recommended)
- Set environment vars globally (recommended only if no other TeX systems are
installed)

Please, send me any comments.

[NTG-context] Software manual template request

Does anyone has a template for software manual? I have vague notion

Needless to say, untouched LuaTex envinroment gives too much academic look.

Can anyone kindly suggest something?

[NTG-context] indenting of first paragraph in (sub)section

\setupwhitespace[medium]
\setupindenting[first,medium,yes]

\section{INTRODUCTION}

\subsection{Rationale}

Anyone who has been around the computer industry for a decade or more is well
aware of this phenomenon: machines are getting exponentially more powerful per
unit cost, yet users do not perceive this improvement in the applications that
they purchase. For example, while word processors are clearly faster today than
they were 21 years ago, they aren't 16,384 times faster as Moore's Law would
suggest. Part of the problem, of course, is that some of the additional
processing power has been employed to support new features (such as a
bit-mapped display), but a large part of the reason software users aren't
seeing an increase in speed is because many of today's programmers don't take
the time to write efficient software, or they simply {\it don't know} how to
write fast code.

[NTG-context] Creating two-column enumeration inside a frame

Re: [NTG-context] typesetting in Cyrillic with Times

2006-12-19 Thread Vyatcheslav Yatskovsky
Hello,

Ok, now I've started playing with Cyrillic fonts seriously.

1. Antiqua-torunska is really Cyrillic but its typeface far from Times Roman.

\usetypescript[antykwa-torunska][t2a]
\definetypeface[antw][rm][serif][antykwa-torunska][default][rscale=1,encoding=t2a]
\setupbodyfont[antw,12pt]

Unfortunatelly, it seems that it is only t2a-ready typescript. Using the same
trick with iwona fails. Looking through type-enc I found that corresponding
typescript misses t2a encoding. Why?

2. Did anyone consider the following font package?

[NTG-context] cannot install Times (Cyr) ptb font using TexFont script under MiKTeX 2.5

2006-12-19 Thread Vyatcheslav Yatskovsky
Hello there,

I cannot install Times (Cyr) ptb font using TexFont script under MiKTeX 2.5.

I run the following command (from the folder where font collection sits)

texfont  --sourcepath=. --vendor=adobe  --collection=timescyr --makepath
--install

It does copy the font source into "E:\Documents and Settings\All
Users.WINDOWS\Application Data\MiKTeX\2.5\fonts\tfm\adobe" (I have Windows on
E:) but says "need at most two non-option arguments" and create no tfm and vf
metrics.

The problem resembles "[NTG-context] TeXFont Problem" issue that was reselved
by reistalling TeX to a non-space path like C:/tex, but it is not a kind of
thing I want to do with MikTeX 2.5.

(I tried also a trick with fake fontroot

timescyr>texfont --fontroot=e:\tex --sourcepath=. --vendor=adobe
--collection=timescyr --makepath --install

but was defeated as follows

TeXFont 2.2.1 - ConTeXt / PRAGMA ADE 2000-2004

processing aborted : unknown tex root e:\tex
)

[NTG-context] Installing Cyrillic font

2006-12-24 Thread Vyatcheslav Yatskovsky
Hello

I'm looking for help with installing the Adobe Times font with Cyrillic support.

I have TIR_.PFB and all other companion files. It surely contains Cyrillic
glyphs because I can type Russian using a font viewer.
I run the texfont utility as follows

texfont  -fontroot=e:/texmf --sourcepath=. --vendor=adobe  --encoding=t2a
--collection=timescyr --makepath --install

and it performs good. But created t2a-adobe-timescyr.pdf test file shows no
Cyrillic glyphs (it seems like there are vacant empty spaces from 192 to 255).
Also I cannot make use of Russian in my context scripts. (Latin goes well)

I'm ready to send any additional relevant info.

Best regards,

Yes, Taco, you are right. I was muddled by Extensis Suitcase which displayed
Cyrillic text in a font preview mode (probably, substituted?). The font
(tir_.pfb) itself doesn't contain any Cyrillic glyphs, indeed. Thanks a lot
for your point.

I've abandon the Adobe font and installed Times-Roman from the collection
located at at http://freshmeat.net/projects/urw-fonts-cyrillic. Texfont has
performed its job excellent and now I'm able to typeset Russian. (The filenames
for Times-Roman are n021003l.afm, n021004l.afm, n021023l.afm and n021024l.afm)

However, now that Russian seems OK I have stuck with Ukrainian. Despite the
fact that this font DOES contain all Ukrainian-specific glyphs (Ie, I, and Yi;
if you never saw them then see http://www.alanwood.net/demos/wgl4.html), They
cause errors and are replaced by wrong symbols in the output pdf file.

My test script is the following
...

\loadmapfile[t2a-urw-timescyr.map]

Thank you, Mojca.

No, I didn't set the encoding and let me explain why.

When I put \enableregime[cp1251] (I use that very encoding) at the top of my
script, the output represents transliterated text (all Cyrillic glyphs are
replaced with corresponding Latin letters). I didn't consider it strange until
you pointed that to me. Here the .log file of the 'transliterated' document:

Re: [NTG-context] Installing Cyrillic font

2006-12-28 Thread Vyatcheslav Yatskovsky
Hello all,

I've made some progress with your help. (and esp. Mojca's)

Following the guidelines from
http://home.salamander.com/~wmcclain/context-help.html,
I 've defined the Regular font as

\enableregime[cp1251]
\loadmapfile [t2a-urw-timescyr.map]
\definefontsynonym[NimbusRomanNo9L-Regu][t2a-n021003l][encoding=t2a]
\definefont[TimesCyr][NimbusRomanNo9L-Regu at 15pt]

\starttext
\TimesCyr
...

and it works OK unless I need Bold or Italic.

Now that I define the font in 'proper' way, using typescripts,

  \enableregime[cp1251]

\usetypescriptfile[type-buy]
\loadmapfile [t2a-urw-timescyr.map]

\starttypescript [serif] [NimbusNo9L] [t2a]
  \definefontsynonym [NimbusNo9L-Roman]   [t2a-n021003l]  [encoding=t2a]
  \definefontsynonym [NimbusNo9L-Bold][t2a-n021004l]  [encoding=t2a]
  \definefontsynonym [NimbusNo9L-Italic]  [t2a-n021023l] [encoding=t2a]
  \definefontsynonym [NimbusNo9L-Bold-Italic] [t2a-n021024l] [encoding=t2a]
\stoptypescript

\starttypescript [serif] [timescyr] [name]
  \usetypescript[serif][fallback]
  \definefontsynonym [Serif]   [NimbusNo9L-Roman]
  \definefontsynonym [SerifBold]   [NimbusNo9L-Bold]
  \definefontsynonym [SerifItalic] [NimbusNo9L-Italic]
  \definefontsynonym [SerifBoldItalic] [NimbusNo9L-Bold-Italic]
\stoptypescript

\starttypescript [TimesCyr]
  \definetypeface [TimesCyr] [rm] [serif] [timescyr] [default]
[encoding=t2a]
\stoptypescript

\usetypescript[TimesCyr]
\setupbodyfont[TimesCyr]

\starttext

the texexec fails and I cannot figure out why. The log file says me

\definetypeface [myTimesCyr] [rm] [serif] [timescyr] [default] [encoding=t2a]
\setupbodyfont[myTimesCyr]

Ukrainian works as good as Russian; font variants could be selected as well.

I haven't tested the script as a separate file yet. Suggestions are welcome!

[NTG-context] How to create a standard text block

2007-01-25 Thread Vyatcheslav Yatskovsky
Hello everybody,

Could someone tell me what is the best way to create a standard text block that
would consist of a line frames around the text and include some lettering? Such
a text block is a State standard in Russia and Ukraine and I want to design it
good and possibly include in the Wiki, since many people require it. So I feel
right to ask you gurus first how to begin.

Please note that this block is of two kinds -- bigger one for first page of a
document (but sometimes of a section), and smaller one for remaining pages.

[NTG-context] CSS-like coding style

2007-02-17 Thread Vyatcheslav Yatskovsky
Hello,
I'm puzzled with an odd thing. If I try to adopt CSS-like coding style,

\setuptyping[
before={
\blank[2*big]
\setupinterlinespace[line=1ex]
},
after={}
]
\setuppagenumbering[
location=bottom
]

works perfectly. But

\setuplayout[
topspace=0cm,
bottomspace=2cm,
rightmargin=2cm,
width=fit,
height=fit
]

fails and accepts only

\setuplayout[
topspace=0cm,
bottomspace=2cm,
rightmargin=2cm,
width=fit,
height=fit]

What is the rule behind this? :(

[NTG-context] replacing symbols

2007-02-17 Thread Vyatcheslav Yatskovsky
Hi,

Let me restate my question. If I get some text from an XML file using
\XMLflush, is there a command in PLAIN TeX to replace some symbols (say, “&“ ->
\letterampersand), on-a-fly without invoking perl, ruby, or lisp or ...? Why is
there need in external script to do such an easy thing?

And what I have to do to use Lua scripts, if possible?

Cheers,

[NTG-context] Ugly matrix spacing

2007-02-19 Thread Vyatcheslav Yatskovsky
Hi,
I'm ConTeXting a text that follows:

%
\setupwhitespace[big]
\setupinterlinespace[line=2.5ex]
\starttext

The Leslie Matrix is a matrix $L[1:X, 1:X]$ of the form

$$\left( {\matrix{
   {a_1 } & {a_2 } & {a_3 } &  \ldots  & {a_X }  \cr
   {b_1 } & 0 & 0 & 0 & 0  \cr
   0 & {b_2 } & 0 & 0 & 0  \cr
   0 & 0 &  \ddots  & 0 & 0  \cr
   0 & 0 & 0 & {b_{X - 1} } & 0  \cr
 } } \right), $$

to build which we need to know $a_x$, {\em ability to reproduce}, an average
number of offsprings within a time step from an individual of age class $x$,
and $b_x$, {\em probability of surviving}, a fraction of individuals that
survives from age class $x$ to age class $x+1$.

 \stoptext

and a matrix has big spacing BEFORE and normal spacing AFTER.

Interesting, but without two first setup lines, matrix glues to the subsequent
text.

[NTG-context] strange text/math spacing

2007-02-22 Thread Vyatcheslav Yatskovsky
Hi,

I found a small but annoying thing about math. When I typeset in-line formula
like '...a vector of $a_x$ is...', it creates too little space between 'of' and
succeeding lowercase math symbol.Uppercase math symbol is treated right. I can
leave it as it is, but it strange to me why TeX performs poor on that.

(There too many 'of' for testing purposes).

\starttext

In MATLAB, we can create the Leslie matrix using {\tt gallery('leslie', A, B)}
command, where of $A$ is a vector of $a_x$ with dimensions of $[1:X]$ and of
$B$ is a vector of \mathematics{b_x} with dimensions of $[1:X-1]$.

[NTG-context] Microsoft Word -> Context

2007-04-02 Thread Vyatcheslav Yatskovsky
Hello,

My faculty receives papers in MS Word format. One poor computer
literate lady is working very hard to typeset a journal of consistent
quality from those papers. All work is performed in MS Word and I
consider to suggest her to move to ConText (she don't have a slightest
idea of it at the moment, by the way). I already have some fonts and
header files to typeset math papers in Russian and I think I could
setup all things for her and provide help if needed.

Then, we need something like Word2ConText (or a macro written in VBA) to
convert incoming papers to ConText
code and then easily assemble them. Something, that resembles famous
Word2Tex application.

What can community say about the sensibility of my idea?And did
anyone attempt to implement some conversion tool?

[NTG-context] \placefigure problems in Xetex

Surely, the figure is present in the same directory as the .tex document

[NTG-context] ConTeXt versioning model critique

> MKII book for those who are afraid of swithing to pdftex2.

ConTeXt should be eventually stabilized so that someone can make some use of
it. But, there is a way for rapid adopting of new techniques too.

My experience of using open-source products (I'm best familiar with Moodle)
suggest that there should be overlapping cycles in development:
1. Allocate new version number and start implementing new features. Many
things are broken at the moment and the version becomes unusable for production
purposes.
2. Stabilize this version and make definite release (number x.x.). Now it can
be used for production.
3. Continue resolve bugs in this version AND perform Step 1 IN PARALLEL.

Moodle follows this model and I always wandered how smooth it was to migrate
between releases. Everything is completely predictable.
Please, look at http://download.moodle.org/ to get the idea of their versioning.

I think ConTeXt needs similar versioning model badly. Now it has rather naive
model (release dates) that doesn't help in deciding about stability at all.

[NTG-context] Some progress with XeTeX

2007-04-14 Thread Vyatcheslav Yatskovsky
Hello,

I have some progress with XeTeX already (with the version included in TeXLive
distribution).

1a) Including external graphics really requires ImageMagic to be installed.
1b) PDF pictures refuse to be inserted for unknown reason but PNGs are handled
fine.

2) To use Windows encoding such as cp1251 (for Cyrrilc), two commands in
preamble are needed:
\enableregime[cp1251]
\XeTeXinputencoding[cp1251]

Question: what is a application to prepare custom vector graphics? Since pdfs
are not included, it should be something more specific. My favourite one,
Inkscape, allows export to .tex formatted for LaTex with PSTricks; obvously
ConTeXt failes with it.

[NTG-context] Hanging punctuation is impressive

2007-04-14 Thread Vyatcheslav Yatskovsky
Hello,

I've just read a about hanging punctuation in Hans' Typographic Programming
manual. It is very impressive; now I understand one more cause why Word
documents look so ugly. :)

Unfortunatelly, I cannot try those examples by myself, since I run TeXLive2007
that don't have Palatino font preinstalled and I'm confident only with MiKTeX
in font installing issues.

Is it possible to use this feature with XeTeX? Or should I impatiently wait for
LuaTeX?

[NTG-context] Vertical alignment of framed text

2007-04-17 Thread Vyatcheslav Yatskovsky
Hello,

I want to insert "hotkeys", surrounded by a round frame, into a paragraph text.
I almost have achieve it, except of proper vertical alignment.

Now it is the frame that is aligned with the text bottom line. But, I want the
text inside a frame to be aligned with the rest of line.

(I found that \vcenter solves the problem but I don't know how to merge it with
\defineframed. Or, maybe there is better solution?)

\defineframed
   [hotkey][height=\lineheight,offset=4pt,corner=00]

\starttext
Another way to start or stop the device is to use hotkey. If the application is
active (that is, sits on the foreground of your desktop), the hotkey is
{\hotkey{Space}}. If it is not active, then use global hotkey --
\hotkey{Alt}+\hotkey{Space}.
\stoptext

Re: [NTG-context] Vertical alignment of framed text

2007-04-17 Thread Vyatcheslav Yatskovsky
Hello,

Thank you Wolfgang, but

\defineframed
   [hotkey][offset=4pt,corner=00,location=low]

produces too big frames, while

\defineframed
   [hotkey][height=\lineheight,offset=4pt,corner=00,location=low]

produces nice tight frames but places the text very BELOW the line text.
(Previously the text was too much ABOVE).

If I remove offset then it looks good (on center), except I really want more
right/left spacing (from the inner text to the frame) but less spacing
top/below, so that It resembles a keyboard key.

How to get just center position while keeping the frame tight and more
X-stretched?

Re: [NTG-context] Vertical alignment of framed text

2007-04-19 Thread Vyatcheslav Yatskovsky
Hello,

Please, don't take me as too much exacting man, but Mojca's (partial) solution

\def\hotkey#1{\inframed[corner=00]{\ #1\ }}

is more suitable for me than the Wolfgangs's (complete) one:

\defineframed
  [dohotkey]
  [strut=yes,corner=00,frameoffset=-0.2em,location=low]
\definehspace[hotkey][0.6em]
\def\hotkey#1{\dohotkey{\hspace[hotkey]#1\hspace[hotkey]}}

The latter add space between surrounding words proportionally to the in-frame
space.

The ideal solution would be

\def\hotkey#1{\inframed[corner=00, location=low, height=\lineheight]{\ #1\ }}

but it doesn't work. Maybe it is a bug, ideed?

Re: [NTG-context] Vertical alignment of framed text

2007-04-19 Thread Vyatcheslav Yatskovsky
Hello Mojca,

Is there need for \strut at all? The definitions

\def\hotkey#1{\inframed[corner=00, offset=0pt]{\ #1\ }}

and

\def\hotkey#1{\inframed[corner=00,offset=0pt]{\strut\ #1\ }}

work equally well and I can see no difference.

I (wrongly) supposed that \strut version can prevent the frame from growing in
height, but when I set offset more then zero, the height is increased too.

In your original version, only the offset option was omitted, so that frames
was bigger by default. With offset=0pt they look just pretty.
(Until there are possibility to control width/height or xoffset/yoffset
separately).

Thanks a lot.

Best,
Vyatcheslav

[NTG-context] XeTeX image dimensioning bug

2007-04-25 Thread Vyatcheslav Yatskovsky
Hello,

I've found a bug in XeTeX image handling. Once it has created a .rli file for
an image, it doesn't recalculate dimensions after the image is changed.

I tested it with .png image, 1-bit (black-and-white). When I crop the image,
both its size and datetime attribs are updated. Nevertheless, running xetex
again produces distorted image, stretched to the old dimensions. I can only
make xetex to rebuild .rlis by deleting them manually each time.

Generally, I don't understand why XeTeX is so stupid that it relays upon the
external tool (ImageMagic) to calculate image dimensions. ConTeX performs much
better at this point. (How I'm longing for it supporting system fonts!).

[NTG-context] hotkey definitions again

2007-05-11 Thread Vyatcheslav Yatskovsky
Hello,

I have following two definitions for hotkeys

\def\hotkey#1{\inframed[corner=00, offset=0pt]{\ #1\ }}

\def\hotkey#1{\inframed[corner=00, offset=0pt]{\enspace#1\enspace}}

The first is my favorite since it looks compact, but one-letter hotkeys look
odd (the frame's height is more then width).

\hotkey{Ctrl} - nice
\hotkey{T} - not nice

The second definition works better for one-letter hotkeys.

\hotkey{Ctrl} - not nice
\hotkey{T} - nice

My question is: can I set the MINIMUM width of a box to have boxes not less
then, say, squared.

Re: [NTG-context] ntg-context Digest, Vol 36, Issue 34

2007-06-18 Thread Vyatcheslav Yatskovsky
Hello,

A more advanced question. With default settings, ConTeXt is prone to start new
page for the itemization that doesn't fit. That is,

... %previous text
Compared to the manual drafting, computer-aided drafting has the following
advantages:
\startitemize[packed]
\item Errors and changes can be erased very simply, and without leaving any
trace on the drawing.
\item Small details can be enlarged to the limit of computer's accuracy, and
can thus be comfortably worked on.
\item Items that appear many times on the drawing (e.g., electronic
com-ponents) need only be drawn once, and then can be rapidly copied as many
times as required.
\item Drawing can be drawn at exact scale; when the drawing is ready to go onto
paper, the computer scales it to fit the page.
\item Related items on the drawing can be grouped on layers, which can be
activated or deactivated at will for plotting or display.
\item Corporate standards are easily imposed by using drawing templates.
\stopitemize
...

In this excerpt the first paragraph is left alone with much space below it and
the list is placed on the next page.

How to teach the ConTeXt to be more space-economical?

Best,
Vyatcheslav

[NTG-context] Figure references problem with \setuparranging

2007-06-21 Thread Vyatcheslav Yatskovsky
Hello,

After I uncomment the code below, my figure references are broken -- \in gives
?? instead of figure numbers.

\setuppapersize
[A5][A4,landscape]
%\setuparranging
%   [2SIDE]

I have found some solutions in the mail archive, but even if I comment, build,
and then uncomment back \setuparranging, I still get ??. I also don't
understand how to use --pdfarrage option, it seemingly does nothing alone.

Is there any proven solution? And can this problem be solved on regular basis?
Publishing A5 pages per one A4 is a normal practice in my university.

BTW, I use XeTeX.

Re: [NTG-context] ntg-context Digest, Vol 36, Issue 52

2007-06-28 Thread Vyatcheslav Yatskovsky
Hello,

Thank you for the new beta.

I have a question about project handling. I often make the same mistake --
press compilation shortcut when a NOT main file is active. So I obtain a broken
pdf and have to delete it manually.
Is ConTeXt so clever to distinguish between auxiliary and main files, and use
the main when I ask to compile an auxiliary? I saw some commands like
\startenvironment, maybe they can help?

My main currently looks like

\usemodule[env.tex]
\starttext
\usemodule[CADD0.tex]
\usemodule[CADD1.tex]
\stoptext

[NTG-context] Semibold font definition

2007-06-28 Thread Vyatcheslav Yatskovsky
Hello,

I have another question too.

I have a bunch of Adobe Caslon Pro font files in OTF format. In addition to
Normal, Italic, Bold, and BoldItalic versions, there are Semibold and
SemiboldItalic. How to make use of two latter in XeTeX (e.g, for section
captions)?

Now I simply have

\definetypeface

  [Adobe Caslon Pro]
\setupbodyfont
  [myface, 11pt]

[NTG-context] \definestartstop with arguments

2007-07-13 Thread Vyatcheslav Yatskovsky
Hello,

Pleeease, I need a help.

I might formulate my previous question badly, so let me restate it.

How to handle optional arguments (one or two) with \definestartstop? More
specifically, how to replace hard-coded "Logging-On" string so that I could
write
\startusecase[Logging-Out]
Bla-bla
\stopusecase

or even

\startusecase[Reminding password][User should be already logged on]
% where the last argument is completely optional and is shown on an additional
line
% with "prerequisite" mark
Bla-bla-bla
\stopusecase

My current startstop definition is

\definestartstop[usecase][before={\starttextrule{Use Case:
Logging-On}\startpacked\startmypar{\bf User Intentions}\mypar{\bf System
Responsibilities}\stopmypar},
after={\stoppacked\stoptextrule}]

\definestartstop

\definestartstop
  [chorus]
  [before=\startnarrower\startlines,

\starttext

\startverse
We all came out to Montreux,
On the Lake Geneva shoreline.
To make records with a mobile,
We didn't have much time.
But Frank Zappa and the Mothers,
Were at the best place around,
But some stupid with a flare gun,
Burned the place to the ground.

\startchorus
