It would be nice to see these process/tasks closed or killed immediately when a
QT file is removed from a nuke script.

. This seems to have come about with the new QT handling in v8.
I will write support as you suggest and reference your bug report. You are also
correct that it seems that there are more QTHelper processes than QT movies
(perhaps being left handing after movs are deleted from the script).
