I just got a look at the new color controls in Nuke8 and have a few questions:
- I would like to make them bigger and place them in a floating window, like
the previous style, because now they are very cramped. Many of us do not work
in the Shake layout that Nuke 5 adopted, but in the
Feli,
There are some hotkeys to ease moving things around in the new color panel,
but I find it easier just to Ctrl/Cmd+click the button to get the old
floating panel up.

I was also wondering why this would be better?! Just press Ctrl when clicking

That really needs to be an option in the preferences panel. I really don't look
forward to having to explain that

Yes, the hotkeys are in the docs:

Seriously though, I think the new colour wheel is heading in the right
direction but agree that it doesn't feel right. Every time I go to grade
something I pause for a second to figure out how to best use it.
I do try to get used to it and it works, but it somehow

I wasn't disagreeing with you at all ;).
I haven't used Shake in many years, so I would have to refresh my
memory as to how the controls worked that you described.
Imagine a rectangular colour swatch to the right of the actual rgb
fields. clicking on that would open the colour wheel panel.
Here's the in panel shake one

If you click on the color pot then it goes to a color picker pane(non
floating) which looks like this:

Oh, now I remember. It was ok, but I can't say it is my favorite approach.
