Today I stumbled upon an Eagle nest with at least one chick in the “Mt Sinai”

This morning I ran to the Town Dock at the end of Pine Neck Ave in E Patchogue.

An adult Bald Eagle was flying low over and perching in Green-Wood this
afternoon. At one point, it broke the high branch it was on, sending the wood
plummeting as it flapped away. Two other birders I ran into saw it leave the

Earlier today, an adult was eating a fish on an Osprey platform east of the
East Marion / Orient Causeway in the marsh on the bayside of Route 25. The bird

Yesterday (Monday) I led a series of walks at Wave Hill in Riverdale (The
Bronx) for their Raptor Day celebration. Fittingly, immediately upon setting
out on the first walk, a juvenile Bald Eagle soared into view over the Hudson,
and circled its way over the Wave Hill grounds. It was joined by
I'm watching an adult bald eagle circling over the Carmen's River, just north
of Yaphank creek, right now.

On friday I had an adult Bald Eagle in a tree along the Susquehanna River just
befor the Morris exit on I-88 in Oneonta. Quite a beautiful bird.

Had a Bald Eagle flying over where I work at 10 Commerce Rd. yesterday. That
seems to be a popular area for raptors. Since I started working there in
November I've had a redtail, two cooper's hawks, two peregrines, and the
eagle. Go figure. Also had the Hermit Thrush back at the birdbath

This morning about 7:30 AM, I saw a large raptor on a light pole just north of
the Meadowbrook Parkway toll booths. It was a very quick glance of the back. I
thought it was one of the Ospreys that are seen on the poles at this time of
year, but the bird had an all white head. When I
