geese on the north end of Merritt's Pond, Riverhead. The south end is still

being 7 Snow Geese, 3 of which were blue morphs, I adult & 2 juveniles. I

Yesterday, a Snowy Owl (the 1st of 2, as of today) was seen by a local
birder, who made some phone calls to try to get other folks on the bird,
but thought it best for the owl, to not post it on the listserve. I was
able to get down to see it, and respected the finder's wishes and also

A short visit, between 3:30 & 3:45 PM today, to the above produced my FOS
Snow Goose (1), ,as well as my FOS Hooded Mergansers (3). Also, a single
T.V. passed overhead.

This afternoon, ~ 2:45 PM, 17 Turkey Vultures "kettled" over our condo
property in Riverhead, Suffolk Co. A few as low as ~ 100', and others
almost out of sight, without the aid of binoculars !

Newbert & Suzi Stewart. We covered Dune Rd., from Shinnicock Inlet, Hampton
Bays to Jessup Lane, Westhampton Beach, finishing up in the middle
of Eastport Village viewing waterfowl and eating piazza.
