From what I've been told, in order to buy the fishing parking permit you
actually have to show up at the Ryan Visitor Center at Floyd Bennett Field
carrying a fishing rod. I don't know if that really is required, but people I
know who have the permit say they did that.I wonder how it'd go over

When I went recently we parked at Fort Tilden and then took a Lyft over to the
Fisherman's Lot at Breezy. You can also take the Q35 bus until just over the
Marine Pkwy Bridge and take an Uber or Lyft from there.
I agree with Stanley though that a national park is supposed to be accessible

Long Island's waterfowl hunting season ends on January 30th except for Snow
Geese which is until March 6th. After January 30th should we still exercise
these precautions with eBird? Should we wait until March 6th if people hunting
Snow Geese might go for other geese species?

That bird has endured a whole lot of cruelty. Andrew, if you can tell them
where it is, one of these wildlife rehabbers would probably rescue it. The

Hi,I have done Walkill NWR twice and the first time I split up the checklists.
I did not split it up the second time because it appears that the entire
Liberty Loop trail is in one atlas block. I didn't understand why that block
would include NJ (most of the block does), but on my second trip

Hi Joe, Thank you for bringing the NPS's attention to the nest. Do you have
any idea how to get the NPS to reign in off-leash dogs at Plumb?
