An "Eastern Race" Nashville Warbler turned up out of the thickets at Valley Stream State Park on Thanksgiving Day at about 2:30 PM. Other than that, land birds were pretty slow except for a smattering of WT Sparrows and up to 3 very vocal Brown Creepers around the mid-section of the Park.

There are still nice numbers of Redhead as Bob Grover mentioned on 7Mar. at Capri Lake (West Babylon). I counted 76 around 5:00 this afternoon. Also about 225 Lesser Scaup and 30 Ruddy Duck. Nothing special at nearby Argyle Lake, with 100's of Black Duck, 15 Am. Wigeon and 2 Gadwall.
