[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Expiration of Holds Shelf Holds

2015-09-01 Thread Scott Thomas
In our old ILS you could set an expiration period for holds on the Holds Shelf, but it was just a flag on which to hang a report. The holds themselves remained intact. In Evergreen holds still on the Holds Shelf at the time of expiration are obliterated. This would not be bad except, if a staff

Thanks Ben! I had forgotten that method. My preference is to use the Clear Holds Shelf checkin modifier because staff can be sure that the title really has been removed from the holds shelf before the system clears it. Kathy On 09/01/2015 02:31 PM, Ben Shum wrote: And a third way, from

Yes, that is my understanding of it. The only thing I might add to your list (if you're training others) is that User Settings changes don't change pre-existing holds. Terran McCanna PINES Program Manager Georgia Public Library Service 1800 Century Place, Suite 150 Atlanta, GA 30345

A few of our libraries have started using Patron Self Registration. It’s primarily used as a kiosk with the self registration page as the home page. Libraries send patrons to the registration station or hand them an iPad set to the registration page to fill out their information. We have come
