I don't recall that we had to turn anything on. I did check for permissions
but didn't find anything associated with inventory.

It does look like a bug. I just tried in 3.0.2 to use both edit functions
while merging and the edits were not saved to the merged record.

What about suspending the hold and then editing for an activate date? You
would need to estimate the date based on the number of holds -- would that
add too much to the workflow to make it a viable work around?

Searches should not be case sensitive in Evergreen. Both searches in the
PINES database retrieve the same number of records. We are on 2.9.1 but
have not had searches be case sensitive with previous versions. Could this

Remember that a no anywhere overrides a yes anywhere. If as Joan asks, your
copy/shelving location is set to not holdable, it will override the value
in the copy editor. And vice versa.

Evegreen does inform the patron when the hold limit is reached and no
further holds are allowed until you drop below the limit. I have been
placing a lot of holds lately to fix records or assign parts so I've hit
the 50 limit often. As soon as even one hold is checked out to me I can
place anothe.
Common is more accurate. I would not batch delete based on ISBNs -- unless
there is a way to write the SQL script that would only retrieve only those
records with no items attached.
