move to it as the primary rdbms but as Mysql/MariaDB is still the more
common system we will keep supporting this as long as it works.

Maybe you could go to the latest openxpki-2.2.3:
1) update your ports tree, e.g.: portsnap fetch update.
2) cd /usr/ports/security/p5-openxpki
make install clean
3) start daemons in a proper order, and check if openxpki daemon is running:
ps aux |grep openxpki

(Say postgresql in a jail needs special treatment.)

The configuration (openxpki-configure) stopped with:
Cannot write to terminal: Device busy at
/usr/local/bin/openxpki-metaconf line 542
This means that user which started openxpki-configure
does not have permission to write to the terminal /dev/tty.
This has nothing to do with openxpki.
I
To my knowledge, all you need is to set one of the
en_GB, de_DE, and ru_RU as preferred language
or just one of the allowed languages in the
settings of the browser, which you are using to connect to the OpenXPKI
web server.
No touch of locale settings on the server side should ever be necessary.
Now to figure out how this
CLI works. Is there any other documentation beyond the skeleton on the
website? Is the Mason interface really the preferred one?
CLI is broken and scheduled for removal.
Use Mason instead.
