acquisition was completed in December, ALP was announced in February, and the
SDK wasn't supposed to be ready until the end of this year. I'm impressed that

My bad. Turns out I just slipped up in entering the error code into my hex
converter: the error I was getting from PltInstallFile was
ERR_PILOT_INVALID_SOURCE_FILE, not ERR_PILOT_FILE_ALREADY_EXISTS, which pointed
me toward the real problem.

I'm writing an installer that will publish PDBs from an NSIS installer using
calls to the instaide.dll. It seems like whenever I call PltInstallFile I get
a return value of ERR_PILOT_FILE_ALREADY_EXISTS. So I added a check where when
this fails we call PltRemoveInstallFile because I want the
of the one that's in the Palm Desktop
installation directory. Is it possible that it's reporting the wrong
information to me because it uses other DLLs that I'm not including in the
installer? I was under the impression that its operation is self-contained.

Coronado Enterprises (http://www.coronadoenterprises.com) has some decent programming
language tutorials. There is a nominal cost. Any tutorial I've ever seen will assume
that you are using the stdio library, though, which means the examples will use
different functions from those in the Palm

I receive a fatal PalmSim.exe Application Error (instruction at 0x0x8881a8
referenced memory at 0x) every time my application tries to pass a
frmCloseEvent for a particular form to FrmDispatchEvent. (Other

I've used Prc2Rcp and read enough about Prc2Pilrc to know that these are way
out of date (and buggy in the case of Prc2Rcp). Are there any alternatives
that folks are aware of?
