Can anyone tell me how to back up a DVD that is 7.6 GB when I only have 4.7 GB blank discs? Do I need to get a double layered burner or do they make larger capacity DVD's? I am using a DVD ROM and a DVD-RW in the same PC to copy discs with Roxio 6. Thanks in advance! Old fisherman never die!

If you need a complete backup you need a double layer burner. If you jst want a copy wich containts sound and text in your language you can use DVD Shrink. This program removes copy protection, regioncodes and all unwanted language and text track. It means that a 9 GB disc to a 4.7 GB disc. I

My suggestion is to use something like Gold Wave or Wave Pad. Rip the track as a wave file, then you can edit the track to your preference. If you have access to Sound Forge, I'd recommend that one over the other two, but it is quite a bit more expensive. HTH, Joshua - Original Message
