This is further to my query about transferring music between two separate
rooms
I am now going to use cables to do the transfer and keep the audio cables
as short as possible.
For this reason it seems that I will be using active high speed USB
extention cable.
Has anyone us

windows volume set to 50 percent I still need to turn the gain at the top
down completely in order to overdrive it.

I have it in mind to play around with recording my own vocals together
with back tracks. Just something to tinker around with. I have a very
severe hearing loss and am interested to see if I can still make some music.

I have just ordered a blue yeti usb microphone which I will be using for
home recording which might include all kinds of things like singing with
backing tracks, some podcasting, etc.
My question is now whether I should invest in a pop filter for the yeti or
not? The pop filter seem
very expensive and I have one and as long as the vocal is
in the center I can tell you it defenitly works.

I think it all depends on how it was recorded as to how much of the vocal it
can remove.
