bugger to convert and is not supported very widely, so it was instantly

Do you mean licensed files? My winamp plays them. That's too bad, though, if
its a really long file in wmp you can't really have a "bookmark" where in
winamp there are time markers.

Can't you just tell it to open the file you want to listen to instead of
saving it? If you open it it won't be stored on your machine.

As I remember the first time windows media saw my iriver it asked the
question. I wonder if you missed that question if you could go to options
devices and set synk up from there?

digital rights management and the first time I had to turn on the synk

file for example, .asx. Explorer will prompt me to download the file instead
