nero player

2004-12-03 Thread Judy W

I attempted to listen to a stream and instead of using my windows media
player--a nero player opened up. There was an error message and the nero
player couldn't play the mp3 stream. How do I disable this player so it
won't conflict with windows media player or real Player? I check the nero
menus and couldn't find any reference to this player.

Thanks in advance,

Judy

Skype answering machine?

2004-12-03 Thread Danielle Cleary
Hi,

Somebody posted the url for a skype answering machine on here a little while
ago? I tried to get to the website, and it crashed my jaws. I tried again
and it crashed my computer. Stupid me deleted the email and when I
restarted, the link had gone from the clipboard obviously. I was wondering
if anyone who can seem to access the website, would perhaps be so kind to
email me the program? As an attachment?

Thanks,

Danielle

You don't need it. You could uninstall it. You could also go into the
right application and fix the file associations. I think it's called Nero

I just installed 6.601 of Nero Ultra addition. You don't have to install
the 6 parts of the package, just the first two, so just the Nero Burning Rom
and the Smart Start, so unless you need them I'd just get rid of the other
programs. I don't know why you don't find the player in the add/remove
programs, but try reinstalling it, rebooting and then un-installing it.

2004-12-03 Thread Judy W
Hi listers,

I just found out from the people at nero that if you install another player
after you have installed nero, your system will use the last player you
installed. I re-installed winamp and the nero player isn't coming up
anymore! The tech support people say we don't have to uninstall anything. I
hope this answer will help future users...

problem with Winamp 2.91

2004-12-03 Thread Bobcat
I just started having trouble with Winamp 2.91. I get an error when I try
to use radio stations in the library. The message is can't open table.
If I try to move to something else in the library and back to radio, Winamp
performs illegal operations.

I love 2.91 and don't like the 5x versions. But if this problem is because
of changes to Winamp, I guess I'll have to upgrade.

CDEX and winamp

2004-12-03 Thread Peter Scanlon
In CDEX under the CDDB Menu there is a function to Read from Winamp CD. I
can't get it to work. It would seem to be a way to read CD titles that have
been saved in Winamp after accessing the Gracenote CDDB.

I have made sure that the CDEX setting under the local CDDB which asks
you put in the location of the Winamp in_cdda.cdb file is correct. I put in
\program files\winamp\plugins.

I get the message Cnnot Access local CD when I operate this function.
I have checked where the file resides and it is under the plugins sub dir.
I cannot join the CDEX Forum on the page as it requires a number which is
represented in a graphic form.
