Hi,
I am still waiting for my r m a to be sent to me by email.
The so called seller of this U S B F M transmitter which is absolutely
pure junk
has this address:
Digital Etcetera

  P O Box 680, Lehi, Utah 84043.

The Better Businiess phone number forthat area is 801 892 6009 and
rest assured if you get the incorrectp roduct sent to you--as I did-- you
will not appreciate dealing with R Jackson on Ebay.
Rick Jackson claims the account was sold and he is not the R Jackson on
Ebay and that rma's are processed promptly.

 Hi,
I bought what should have been Model 3 of the Linex U S B transmitter.
 I was sent Model 1.
So I called the shipper and that required 4 phone calls to get a variety
 of contacts etc.
The guy is named Rick Jackson yet the R. Jackson account on EBAY was
 sold to some one else.
I was assured they ship only version 3 but occasionaly version 2 or 2.5
can be shippedand that is not his fault yetI got version 1 which transmits
 about 15 feet.
I was assured that version 2.5 is just great; it transmits 50 feet yet
they
 ship only Version 3.
If you are having issues, the phone number is on the packaging and is
 801 768 8933.

Off topic, Mother-bords

2004-12-20 Thread Johnathan Richards
Hi everyone, John here

I've got a question sorry if it is off topic but I don't know where to go on
the web or I'va by going to a shop

I've resently braught myself a new WinTV Card in the form of a PCI card and it
didn't work so I took it back thinking it was the card so I then got a
replacement and then the same thing happened again the software installed onto
the computer but the program when pressing to run wouldn't as it couldn't find
a WinTV card the message that I got was, there is no WinTV or Video card
installed so progress to run this program has failed OK.
Clicking OK closed the program

I then moved my sound card into the Non-responding PCI slot and reloaded the
software to the soundcard and still nothing

Can someone give me a cheep place where I can buy a cheep processor and a cheep
motherboard please

My E-mail address is at the bottom of this message

Thanks in advanced

and
Yamaha. There are several others: Akai, Cassio, Ensoniq, General Music,
Kurzweil, Techniques, and many many more. They're all good at what they
do.
What would you want in a keyboard? A piano, different sounds, what sorts
of
sounds, how many keys, weighted, semi weighted, portable, battery powered,
onboard sequencer? How much money do you want to allow for this?
Honestly,
almost anything you could ever want is available. Most people who want a

Yamaha in the $300 to $500 range. I've been selling keyboards for

Dampening Bass on New Speakers

I just purchased a new set of speakers for my computer. The bass is rather
stronger than what I'm used to. I have a Sound Blaster Live card. I know

For whatever reason, the bass control is graded out on the sound blaster
card. So is the treble control on some of the cards.

Hopefully, you have a bass control knob on the speaker itself.

Hi, Larry, one question, and that is, can you make a label for an audio
cd? I saw a check box that said put text on the cd, but I just wanted

Subject: question about Nero 6 suite

I am thinking about moving from Nero 5.5 to version 6. But I checked the
price at Best Buy, and $100 is a bit steep. So I went to Old Version.com,
and found this Nero 6 Suite for just $5 which claims to do everything the
OEM one does at the Nero website. The same Suite is just $4 at
pricewatch.com. Anyone know what the catch is?

Sun Sparkle! Korg is as good as it gets for many people.
They've
  been
around forever. Many people consider the big three to be: Korg,
Roland
  and
Yamaha. There are several others: Akai, Cassio, Ensoniq, General
Music,
Kurzweil, Techniques, and many many more. They're all good at what
they
  do.
What would you want in a keyboard? A piano, different sounds, what
 sorts
  of
sounds, how many keys, weighted, semi weighted, portable, battery
 powered,
onboard sequencer? How much money do you want to allow for this?
  Honestly,
almost anything you could ever want is available. Most people who
want
 a
keyboard with no more description than that want something by Cassio
or
Yamaha in the $300 to $500 range. I've been selling keyboards for
  seventeen
years and every year the rules change. It's a hard area to keep up
 with.

pull down your options menu and see if advanced controls are checked in the

Re: Live365 and having to register???

2004-12-20 Thread Kelly Pierce
yes, I think you described the current state of affairs. to listen to
Live365, one must register at the site, similar to registering at a
newspaper website in order to read that particular paper. when you
register, you can choose the preferred media player to listen to Live 365
stations, such as winamp. once you register, Live 365 places a cookie on
your computer so your registration information is obtained automatically.

some audio streams do this to track listenership, as royalty payments are
based on how many listeners are listening to a particular song and how long
they listen to the song. We have bill Clinton to thank for this scheme as
he signed the digital Millennium copyright Act. also, aggregated listener
information allows for better selling of airtime to advertisers.

From Bill Sparks' site, I went to a station link
activated it, Winamp attempted to come up, but I got a message that I had
to be registered with Live365 to hear the station.

In this dialogue, you can adjust the bass and treble.

I just purchased a new set of speakers for my computer. The bass is rather
stronger than what I'm used to. I have a Sound Blaster Live card. I know
that in the old DOS days you had bass and treble options as well as volume
and balance, but in the Windows volume control I just see volume and
balance. Is there a way to adjust bass and treble as well?

It would seem that..from what I'm able to understand..people running Jaws
5.0 are having better luck with the XM player than those using 5.1. In case
you haven't already seen my posts concerning this matter..I have an ancient
version of Jaws; Jaws 3.7u..and it absolutely will not work with the player!
Therefore..I use Magic..but they just really need to make this thing more
accessible to those who have to reply on the screenreader!

Re: Music composition programs and jaws

2004-12-20 Thread jaywill
Hi,
Yah, Sibelius is simply fantastic, provided you order and install the Jaws
scripts that David Pinto compiled in cooperation with Sibelius. Without
them, useless. With them, not only completely transparent, but they also
supply a comprehensive and intuitive manual like you'll find nowhere else
that not only gets you going in a logical manner, but explains the whys and
wherefores of the many visual aspects that we could spend weeks in tiresome
questioning of erstwhile musician friends.
There are some who'll likely whine at the $300 cost of this add-on,
especially when Sibelius itself is about the same price, but lemmee tellya,
you'll almost wonder why they didn't charge more!
