Hello, All,
Often when I launch Winamp I get a message that there is a new version
available. The reference is given to the Winamp.com site. When I am

reason why we generally get it from whitestick.uk or another lister.

The only reason for the other sites is that the Winamp site is sometimes a
bit tricky to navigate. It's the same file, but a direct linke is easier
to manage.

Steve! Did you consider the Edirol R-1 for $400.00? It's probably

you're guaranteed to get one after about two months at the most. You can

I'm wondering if you guys can help me out with something.
Do you remember the Talkmans that some of the blindness companies sell? I

Do they still come with those, or have they been

Can anyone explain to me how to re-format an RW CD, so that it can be

The program is called Easy CDDa Extractor. It is extremely

H. I just found where to go in Easy CD-DA Extractor to erase an RW CD.
But I still can't erase these CDs I burned. I thought they were RW Cds. But,
perhaps, the sales person misinformed me. (It would hardly be the first
time.) I'll have to get someone sighted to look at the packaging for
www.poikosoft.com
I love it. I do all my ripping and burning with it, by preference. It's VERY
JAWS-friendly. And the cost is only $24.95.

Well, I googled it the way you spelled it, and I'm more confused than
before. I typed CDDA as you did (actually I copied and pasted what you'd
typed). And that got me links to three things, with the crucial difference
being the format: There's Easy CDDA Extractor, as you typed. Then there's

Can Windows Media Player give you the title of a particular CD and the name of

If so, how can I do this, because I don't really know how to fully take

Yardbird,
There are a couple of similarly named products. But the one we are
discussing is properly called Easy CD-DA Extractor, and it's made by a
one-man outfit called Poikosoft: www.poikosoft.com

I went to the link, and it seems as if they're saying that this program

Hi Mate,
You need Nero Burning Rom or another CD burning program if you want to write
data CDS / DVDS. Easy CD-DA Extractor only supports the burning of audio
CDS. Also, what they are talking about when they refer to Easy CD-DA
extractor working with Nero is that Easy CD-DA extractor supports a
So if you have Nero (I understand it's no longer called burning ROM, in
the current version?), then why would you need this program? Can't Nero rip
audio tracks from a music CD,burn and copy music CDs, *plus* write data CDs?
Maybe I don't understand, but there seems to be some overlap here.
Bruce,
So you were kidding around? If I have the right product in my sights, it
appears that it's a shareware number that costs a mere $24.95 to register.
I understand, according to what Mr Truong says, that it's a music-only

Also, I'm sure, there are lots of people who, like me, began using Easy
CD-DA Extractor as a ripper before ever they upgraded to a system with a

never bother to investigate Nero once we upgraded our systems,
Yardbird,
If you're referring to the passage on the Poikosoft home page that I think
you are, I think it's saying that Easy CD-DA Extractor will support the AAC
file format (a Nero-specific format?) if (that is, only if) you also have
Nero installed. I've got Nero installed (It came with my
