Aha! Ok, you're thinking of what's called Jump to time. in Winamp
that's control plus j. i'm not sure what it is in other players but
that's it.

Hi. I believe what the original guy I think it was Tom? is talking
about is being able to take a very long audio file, and placing a timed
bookmark in it so if you close your player and re-open it, you can jump
right back to the same exact spot you were when you closed it. Think of
it like
Where can I download it and is there any audio tutorial on it?

Hi!
I've had a FetchTV set top box for well over a year now.
This box is not to be confused with an Apple TV or any other Android Set
Top Box we've been discussing here, the Box actually runs LYNUX and Open
Source code.
FetchTV is available in Australia though I don't think its available in
VLC has a Jump To command if that's the sort of thing you're talking
about along with various shortcuts to allow you to skip in various
increments through a file.

I've not really seen how it's done!

Hi!
I appreciate your comments and agree but on the other hand - if people
choose to use dinosaurs as you so aptly put it - then that's their
lookout, in other words don't worry yourself about it all just take full
advantage of what VLC and other players have to offer.
As you've seen, some
Yes winamp works beautifully in Windows 10. Could never get VLC to do
everything I need a media player to do.

I have to say I didn't find this post all that helpful. Winamp works fine
for me and for some others using Windows 10. Given that situation, can you
elaborate on why we should change to VLC? Assuming winamp works, what does
it do better? Also, can you speed up playback with it easily?

Are there any preferably free Winamp plug-ins that work with the current
version that speed up playback?

Yep, and so many people believe that just because it's not being
developed anymore that they should completely quit using it and move
onto something else, even at the cost of functionality like this.
I started using Winamp way back around 1998 or so. It's done everything
I expected it to do,
This is one of the things I have always liked about Winamp; it has the ability
to pick up where you left off in a file!
