You're a couple of thousand exposures ahead of me, but I've run into
the same problem re: file naming. My solution was to start renaming
the images when uploading them to the PC. I think that's the common
way to solve it. There are many tools that allow you to rename files
in batch.

The Pentax cameras had the write function disabled but not the Samsung ones :D
Fimware (both Pentax and Samsung) was v0.20.
Setting were RAW+JPEG (so the JPG comes directly out of the camera).
DNG is not compressed since RAR will shrink it further 3MB off the
16.1MB of these.

yesterday on the Pentax booth. We (2 guys from DpReview forum and me)
met a very nice Pentax rep who knew something (not usual stupid
marketing rep). On a couple occasions, we he didn't know the answer to

K100D) will show it in the viewfinder. Also, with SV,TAVmode the ISO

The FAJ lifetime was reduced by digital. Just like there are consumer
DAs (18-55) there could have been/be higher end FAJs.

I just heard, from the barn manager, that the owner of the farm in
question was impressed by buddies operation at the show he took from
me in May, that she could buy her daughters pictures right on site.
It was then, apparently, she asked them to do her 2007 show.

are a few big companies that have infrastructure for booths, sun
shades, multiple sets of equipment, advertising, web sites, etc. They
