Thanks for the input on this.
Two points:
Focussing not a problem as long the register is correct as it will be only
wide angles [sp.17mm fisheye and poss. 28mm] so zone focussing etc. is no
problem.

My photography splits into:
"Specific" photo trips where the primary aim is photography and I'm on my
own , often working from a nearby car and I will be shooting a lot of
tripod work.
2 Lxs/winders, 17mm fisheye,18 f3.5, 24mm f2.8, 35mm f2,50mm Macro 100mm
f2.8, 200mmf4, 300 f4, 1.4X and 2x conv
None of you know how bad beer can get until you've drunk the stuff

Does anyone have any experience with the feeble battery trays in LX
winders?
I have two [neither from new] and they are both coming apart at the outer
end.
I can probably fix them with epoxy, but as it is under continual internal
pressure [from the batteries] will probably go again.

I have a 300m f4 M*, great lens but really needs a tripod
mountespecially if I use it witha X1.4 converter.
Same problem as when I use my 200m F4M with a short tube for
closeups
There must be a 3rd party tripod colar that you can use on a lens, tube or
extender
Of couse I forgot my Olympus XA [35mm f2.8 auto with rangefinder]
The Ricoh GR-1 is the same sixe..but packs in autofocus,
flash [with autofill] and will fit in SHIRT pocket!
