Hi, Yes, I did mentioned the operation speed as a poor thing. But I personally prefer slower, but more accurate operation in focussing etc. A20 offers enough accuracy. And it's not THAT slow after all :) BR, Margus Jaume Lahuerta wrote: So, they didn't address the A10 poor (slow)

Hello Jaume, I'm curious - we have an A10 (my wife's) and have had many other PS digitals from several manufacturers. When compared with an SLR - they are all poor performance. Can you specifically tell me what bothers you about the A10 vs many other compacts? -- Best regards, Bruce

Jaume - I forgot to mention something that I think is important. If you use point and shoot cameras as they come out of the box, they are meant to do as much thinking for you as possible. This takes time and makes the cameras slower than they need to be. My A10 is set to Spot focus. I use the

Godfrey, Thanks for the comments. From what I have seen on dpreview the Fuji is certainly a good choice. It's only real problem is that it takes XD cards while the K10D will use SD and my *istD takes CF. I was hoping to avoid buying too many types of cards! For the video in particular I

I know, that's the one thing I dislike about it. However, for my purposes, I bought one 1G xD card ... it holds up to 350-400 full resolution photos at a time and cost me about $40. That's enough. I only do a little bit of movie making with it, not enough to worry about. A Sandisk ImageMate

Hi, I reviewed A20 for our local photo/computer magazine last month. It was a sort of head-to-head test versus Olympus mju: 750. Pentax wins hands down. What's about A20... it's a bit slow in operation, but image results are very good. Good noise, which is easily repairable with

Jaume - I've had an A10 since January. This is the camera that's always in my pocket, briefcase or glove compartment and it works great. Is it the fastest camera on the market? Probably not. I certainly do not experience the poor performance that has been mentioned in the reviews. One thing

Hello all, I am currently looking at compact point and shoot digitals. Specifically I am looking for one that can do movie clips in macro mode (or even super macro mode if it has it). It will also be used as a camera by my wife who has decided that she no longer wants to carry around an SLR.

Leon, I've tried several compact digicams although none of the Pentax Optios. The only ones that are working for me are the Fuji F30 and its stablemates (the F10, F11, etc) due to sensitivity. The F30 is the only camera in the class that has been able to return this kind of quality from
