I am still puzzled by the Pentax review process. I just had three
images that were held under review for 2 weeks after others
submitted at the same time were declined. Yesterday, all three were
declined, and one that was submitted less than 2 weeks ago was
approved.

Intersting point about the thumbnails... while I might rescan to get a

quality file (and/or not go the route of scaling them down myself just

Although the thumbnails are properly proportioned in the voting
process, once an image is placed in the gallery, it gets a square
thumbnail. One of my favorite images, the Garden Walk from Villa San
Michelle on Capri, make the gallery on the first submission. Now,
the thumbnail now on the

I find that some of my rejections relate to the purpose of the image.
I had two diner interiors that I really love rejected by Pentax.
That made me take a hard look at them. They were taken for my diner
blog, and both the original exposure and the modifications in
PhotoShop were done

I think that the challenge of getting image that I like in the Pentax
Gallery serves a useful purpose, by making me rethink my decisions
about an image I like and trying to find ways to improve it and give
it broader appeal.

or for my diner blog or travel blog. Different versions for different
purposes.
Re-editing for the PPG is an educational process for me, just like
posting PESOs here are reviewing the comments and suggestions. I am

Some excellent photos there.
The Pentax Gallery criteria is hard to predict, although over-saturated
landscapes seem to be a shoe-in.
