I understand your frustration. Recently I bought an ist D (as a replacement for my faulty ist DS) to use as a backup camera. It came with Firmware 1.11 but as Firmware 1.12 is the latest I thought I might as well have it even though it adds nothing that I need. Off to the Pentax Imaging site
