I find that the K-5II has pretty much equivalent noise characteristics
to the *ist-Ds at 800 ISO somewhere between 3200 and 6400, depending on
the subject lighting. Noise can be pretty bad in deep shadows but if
the scene is evenly lighted you can even push a bit beyond 6400 and get
just amazi

Thanks Igor. I’m fairly certain that it’s the northwest end of the Malibu
Beach. A lot of rock formations there, and I was probably working in Encino,
and that’s why the Kodachrome box is labeled Encino. Malibu, of course, is
directly west of Encino, although there are some minor mountains in be
Uniquely striking scene, Walter!
