Be patient. I haven't ordered a K10D yet, but I feel
reasonably sure they will offer an upgrade for my
flash, if the K100D upgrade doesn't do the job.

How the term upgrade has become corrupted. It now means making an

We got one just over a week ago. It's a blast!

About a year ago I was invited to Los Angeles to provide voice
commentary for an environmental film. I got a reduced version of the
Hollywood treatment. The production company sent a car and driver to

When I receive the lens, I plan to do some comparing with my A-20mm

Oh, your A 20 will outperform it. I did the comparative test against the

My K10D shutter release feels more like what you describe. Compared

uncompressed.
On further clarification from the fellow who took the shot, it appears
that Adobe did indeed compress the DNG file, not the camera.

How does one know that a compressed RAW file is actually lossless?
Over at dpreview, Steve (apparently the first kid on the block with a
K10D) has posted a DNG file taken at ISO 1600 here:

Well, that's interesting. It really was a 6 mb DNG file. I double check
such things considering the speed of my dial-up connection.
