Optio WG-2 delayed shooting abort
Optio WG-2 I like to use for delayed photo sequences, due to being small, water resistant and so on. Whilst I can stop delayed shooting before the sequence started by pressing Power button + menu, once camera starts the sequence it doesn't react to power button + menu pressing any more and only dirty trick I discovered from the manual it to remove memory card in between captures. I wish there is another non-intrusive non-destructive way. When You run underwater photo sequence its not so healthy to open battery compartment until camera is totally dry and it takes time. This is one of these time when I miss that computer Ctrl + ALT + Del combination. http://roman.blakout.net/picture.php?/927/category/84 Ideas appreciated. -- roman.blakout.net K-5 × DA 16-45 × DA 17-70 SDM × DA* 50-135 SDM × FA 50 × FA 35-70 -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.

Mine just arrived today. The camera feels solid, menu navigation is not too difficult as it shares a family resemblance with other Pentax cameras. I am still working on learning how to push the shutter button without moving the whole camera; if I can master that, I think it will be a fun carry-along. $175-220 seems to be the going price right now. stan On Jan 7, 2013, at 10:13 PM, Paul Sorenson wrote: Anyone using this camera? Pentax Optio WG-2 high ISO shots creative filters
http://roman.blakout.net/index.php?/category/75 ^^^ I was always so against compact cameras but here I am with my Optio WG-2 in the shopping mall chasing macro closeups and especially that super macro and microscope mode. Most shots are ISO 1000-1600 and despite of assisting LED's on they don't provide enough light to get ISO speed below 1000. Somehow I like it, it fits into pockets or my bag, (not the photo bag)... I'd used some creative filters too. Real outdoor or extreme shooting with the camera is yet to come but here's the first photographic impressions as it came for me. -- roman.blakout.net K-5 × DA 16-45 × DA 17-70 SDM × DA* 50-135 SDM × FA 50 × FA 35-70 -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
