'00s when 64bit compatible hardware started to become available, and has now
switched to 64bit only in the release of macOS Catalina. VueScan has had 32 and

Hmm. I've got a couple of friends in my workshop group who run Macs on macOS
Catalina and have the Perfection V850 Pro scanner and Stylus Photo R2880
printer. Neither have reported any difficulties using them … They just
downloaded and installed the latest drivers from Epson and were up and
I don’t think Vuescan will help here. The computer doesn’t see the scanner or
printer. And I don’t think Vuescan runs on 16-bit OS. Epson and Apple will
eventually have a fix, but Id like to work now.

The problem you’ve encountered is why I plunked down $100 for a VueScan
license. But mine was a problem just with a scanner.
Others have said they prefer the Epson software. In my limited amateurish
experience I have always used been frustrated by it.
