Could you show the actual code, not just the query. The way you are
setting up the query could be affecting it. i.e. using single quotes when
assigning to a variable would not work with your query.

Your example data does have an invalid field count The first row has has
7 fields, the other 6.
So if you took them from your actual data that's your problem

all the data before making
the change, or it WILL be corrupted.
If you primarily use non-latin character sets, I'd recommend making
UTF-8 the default database character set

Without knowing more about your configuration (local/remote, versions,
