> > Can you share a link or mark this bug as forwarded? > If the crash is related to FFmpeg functionality, I might be able to help. After I emailed you I found the KDE bug that the musicbrainz tagging was crashing on https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=328359 Also it appears they fixed that bug in git master. After building that I was able to view tags, so I think everything's fine. I went ahead and released the 2.8.0-4 version with your patch in it. > > though I'd ike to build and run it first. > > That's always a good idea. Ok I built it and ran it and I think I tested the chunk of code that you modified and it crashed. However I then ran the version without your patch and it also crashed, so I'm going to send your patch to upstream along with my test plan and see if we can figure out whats broken. No I hadn't seen the previous bug report. Thank you for emailing me directly. I just looked at your patch and it seems pretty simple though I'd ike to build and run it first. Could you point me to any ffmpeg documentation about the deprecations in 2.9 If it works I should be able to upload a new version of amarok over the weekend. I'm not sure if upstream is aware. They're in beta for a new release so I'll need to go look at their new version. I'll try to do that over the weekend as well. [Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#789538: amarok: Amarok seqfaults immediately, problem traced to libnettle4
Hi, I did some more investigation, and although I wasn't able to duplicate the segfaults, I did find something odd. I set up a Debian 8.1 system which I think did an upgrade to testing. That left me with an Amarok that was linked against both libnettle.so.4 and libnettle.so.6. It looks like amarok depends on libcurl3-gnutls which depends on libgnutls- deb0-28 which depends on a version of libnettle and libhogweed. I removed libnettle4 which triggered an upgrade and replacement of several gnutls related packages. The first version of libgnutls-deb0-28 installed was 3.3.8-6+deb8u1, the upgraded version which worked for me was 3.3.15-7. Could you check your versions of libgnutls-deb0-28? and see which version of libhogweed you have installed? (libhogweed2 or libhogweed4)? [Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#786363: qapt: needs update for qt-gstreamer 1.2
Technically the binNMU worked. Selecting the relevant packages from gstreamer0.10-qapt Version: 1.3.0-2.1+b1 Depends: ... libqtglib-2.0-0 (= 0.10.1), libqtgstreamer-1.0-0 (= 0.10.1), The problem is the package name is still gstreamer0.10-qapt, which is confusing. We could rename it, but that would then trigger time in NEW. After talking it over with Lisandro, my feeling is we don't need qapt to be blocking the qtgstreamer transition, though we should have a lower priority bug to clean up the package name. (I'm not sure if that means this bug should be closed and a new one opened, or this one should be downgraded and stop blocking 760003.) What do you think? [Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#731121: ktp-call-ui: depends on obsolete Farstream 0.1

Are you saying that ktp-call-ui doesn't actually work in its current state? If you are, please file a bug with appropriate severity (probably grave) and remove it from jessie - we shouldn't be releasing non-functional software into stable. S It certainly doesn't work very well. How reliable do you think farstream 0.1 is? It might successfully make a call with the same version to the same version, but my initial tests had been ktp to jitsi and those constantly failed. With the QtGstreamer 1.0 + farstream 0.2 at least audio works with jitsi. Unfortunately I didn't navigate the transitions to get qt-gstreamer 1.0 and the updated telepathy-qt needed for a working ktp-call-ui into Jessie. The components needed are off sitting in the just released slightly too late 0.9 release of ktp. [Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#703161: Still having the Message Transmission delay with ICQ?
Hi, Debian testing has 0.6.3 and 0.7.0 is almost in for unstable. I was wondering if you had tried any of the newer releases, and if they might have fixed the ICQ bug? I don't have an ICQ account so testing it would be pretty difficult for me. [Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#731121: ktp-call-ui: depends on obsolete Farstream 0.1
Hello, I think currently KTP Call UI ends up depending on both GStreamer 0.10 and 1.0 because it directly uses GStreamer 0.10 but it depends on telepathy components that have been updated to 1.0 I've been working on porting the QtGstreamer wrapper being used by KTP, but it's has been slow going. So I'm not sure when a GStreamer 1.0 release might happen. I've had trouble using ktp-call-ui recently because of all the version mismatches, I think to get it all working reliably will require finishing the porting to GStreamer to 1.0. Hello, the new dependency wasn't added as kde-telepathy-desktop-applets was treated as a new upload, and so it took a while for it to be approved. There's another new component plasma-runner-telepathy-contant, once that gets approved I'll fix this bug. [Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#715199: Possibly fixed in 0.6.3
Hello. We recently released a new version of KDE Telepathy, 0.6.3 is currently in unstable. The translation string in 0.4.0 was: msgid KDE IM Contacts msgstr Contados de MI para KDE The string in 0.6.3 is: msgid KDE IM Contacts msgstr Contactos de MI para KDE Is the new translation correct? I can investigate if its possible to update the 0.4 version in stable.
