So the issue that you are concerned about is someone overwriting the file and causing something else to be killed when the script exits? We could probably protect against this by putting the file in the local users directory too. The only reason for the script is as a hack to get around mplayer

If you are using Sb3 with default settings - then Virgin plays direct from host and doesn't use any of the mplayer and conf files - so Virgin playing does not indicate anything useful. Where did you get the custom-convert.conf ? There is a new format for 7.3 with additional lines. (e.g. # F )

I posted the bug reports - one part of the problem has been verified. The bugs have been marked for fixing in 7.3.2 - it wasn't considered urgent enough for 7.3.1 as I think 7.3.1 had to be released this side of Christmas with fixes to the 7.3.0 showstopper bugs. -- bpa

I don't know if it's a bug or quirk in my setup, but Sugarcube doesn't create real playlists. It creates a chain of songs that's shattered when I pause the list. If I pause a song 20 iterations into the Sugarcube mix, resuming will play the original song and the rest of the list will be gone.
