I'm trying to phase out the use of subsonic. LMS can do anything I need,
but subsonic has one feature that I use very often: it can produce a
pick list of random albums from my music collection. It is very similar
to LMS Home My Music New Music except that the list shown is a

There's something close that comes packaged with LMS. My Music Random
Mix Album Mix. It doesn't give you a random subset to choose from, but
instead populates (and continues populating) the current playlist with
randomly selected albums from your collection.

I had my ext4 partition on RaspbPi SD card corrupted and had to
reinstall back squeezeplug.
I tried what said by setting in etc/sudoers

Just a short update:
I found the user pi/raspberry and completed the ServerPowerCenter
installation correctly
according to what found here

Nothing changed though :confused:
Will this work w LMS 7.7.1 ?
I enabled it, restarted the server and I see nothing. I could then not
access Advanced Settings from the Control Panel, only from the web
interface. Is there a description/manual somewhere of how to use this
somewhere ?

H. Maybe it is 7.8 only. I'd uninstall plugin, reboot machine,
restart Lms.

Afaik there is no LMS plugin designed to do this specifically. It may be
possible to trick Erland's Custom Browse, SQLPlaylist, or Dynamic
Playlist plugins to do this, but it would take some tweaking.
How many albums do you want in your pick list? Either as an absolute

its not really a big tasks - you only need the number of the last
album and some random things.
But - when i want to listen to random i'd like to just use funk or rb

I'm sorry about that. I thought that not initializing the importer in 7.7
was good enough. But the plugin manager is smarter than I thought and does
find it
After running cleanup, clear cache folder etc. I was able to rescan my
library. I wish there was a way to see progress of the cleanup progress.
Then restarted LMS and did a full rescan which worked. Settings still
not available from the Control Panel though. Strange.

Depends what you mean with tweaking, you have to:

familiar with its capabilities, but that sounds more like basic set up
