A headless Raspberry Pi2 runs quite nicely off a single USB port, but if
necessary a USB y-cable should ensure there is more than enough power
without adding another power brick.

You don't need to uninstall the existing version, though you may want to
rename it just so that it's there if you ever need
Anyone using a Raspberry Pi (version 1 or 2) with Raspbian and LMS will
want a more recent version of ffmpeg as the currently available ffmpeg
(v0.8.16-1+rpi1) is pretty old and - more importantly - doesn't die.

is working well with AlienBBC 2.0 Beta apart from some Gaelic
accented characters that are not displaying correctly, eg. Caithream
Ciùil is being displayed on the Squeezebox as Caithream CiÃ1il
although it displays correctly in the web page so this may be a server
related issue.

the video is corrupted after exiting from X (ie. when rebooting so not

The latest (beta) version of SlimCD is available here:

Note that it's in ISO format so you don't need to unzip/unrar the file
- just open it with Nero Express (Disc Image or Saved Project) and
burn the CD which should then be bootable.

I have removed MoodLogic and Shadow* plugins as for some reason my
volume was being automatically reduced - I don't know if these were the
modules responsible, but removing them fixed the problem!
