Hi, I stumbled across this thread when I tried to solve issues caused by
the changes required for Tidal.
I was running the last official LMS Version on a Synology DS216play and
read that Tidal would no longer support MP3.
A switch to LMS8 was suggested in order to stream AAC files to my SB
boom.
I have the same problem and have just cancelled my spotify premium
subscription because of it.
The search option in the logitech spotify plug in is absolutely useless
- at least if you search by artist you will get tons of albums which all
can't be played back.
So my only workaround was to use

Two days ago, I had massive drop-outs in the qobuz function - not one
single track was playing correctly - probably after 30 seconds maximum,
playback stopped and the SB radio showed something like "refill buffer".

Yesterday, I was looking for a swedish band called "Kent".
So when you enter the search credentials "Kent" and then use "Artist",
you will get an almost endless list of singers which have the name
"Kent" somewhere. (e.g. A. Kent J. Kent D. Kent, I. Kent..)

I read through this forum seeing that some other had had the same
problems before.
However, the solutions / root causes described don't seem to apply to
me.
After the 7 days trial phase, I now switched to the Hifi - subscription.
So I would expect Qobuz to now transmit files in Flac format.

I tried to read through this post, but I did not come across the issue I
am encountering.
I have LMS running on a WHS server.
I tried all versions of LMS from 7.7.2 to 7.7.3 and 7.7.4 and always had
the same effect.
In the plug ins page of the LMS setup, there is no option to change the
