I've been using Spotty for a long time and loving it. Thanks again
Michael for all of your work. Here are a couple things I have noticed,
which are likely known limitations, but just wanted to list them here to
see if there is a plan to fix them at some point. These issues are
causing me pain
Is the Connect feature no longer supported on the Synology DS414
(Marvell Armada ARM v7)? I have not had any luck with any of the builds
in the last few weeks. I can start playing a song in the Spotify app,
but pause is broken (if I pause in the Spotify app the song just keeps
playing.) This was
I originally considered using the "playlist preview" CLI command for my
script, but I needed to break up the save and resume parts so the TTS
alert could be played elsewhere... but now I have everything in one
script, so I may try the "playlist preview" approach again. Thanks!

I already posted about this a few pages back, but I didn't see any

Michael, I have just noticed an issue with the Connect feature. This
may have existed in previous versions, I'm not sure. I'm running Spotty
2.1.1 and LMS 7.9.1 on a Synology DS414. FYI it appears to now be
necessary for me to enable "Don't announce Squeezebox players" in the
Advanced settings

Ok, looks like it was because the Boom was

Michael,
Things have been much more stable for me in the last few releases
(Synology DS414, LMS 7.9.1). Today I just noticed something a little
weird when I tried to start playing music from the Spotify App on my
phone, nothing played on the Squeezebox. I noticed the squeezebox
player was

Ok thanks for confirming. Can you add this as a limitation to the first
post?
I haven't tested this much yet, but I was able to use Google Assistant
on my phone to issue a voice command to Spotify and have the song play
on my squeezebox! Spotify added the Google Assistant ability a few
weeks ago. You need to link Spotify in the Google Assistant settings,
and set Spotify
I was having issues getting the Spotify Connect feature to work (similar
to steves999 issue in post #133 of this thread). It appeared to work in
the Spotify App on my phone and from the Spotify web client, but nothing
would change in the LMS web interface for that player Then I tried
the initial lists by parsing song
tags based on criteria you specify (again, like iTunes' smart
playlists). You could use the Comment tags (or additional Genre tags)
to assign songs (more permanently) to a particular category, say Dad's
music.
