Looks like it may be a dodgy ffmpeg not sure, really. Are you sure

The non-uk streams are 96kbps (sbr_low) and 48kbps (sbr_vlow). Bonze's
non-uk menu is 96kbps, I believe.

Unfortunately I am still having problems with drop-outs in the audio and
the stream stopping. Sometimes I can go without problems for hours and
sometimes, like now, every few minutes. Sometimes the drop-out becomes
permanent and the stream stops It seems to be due to buffering -

Can't remember what I changed, but have an odroid based lms in the us
and hls is fine for live. It was something around avconv. Anyway, it
leaves the shores fine. Did you replace the menu.opml with the non-uk
one?

7.8) installed. Connected by Cat5 to my ADSL router. 80GB of FLAC
music files held on a Synology NAS and read by Pi using NFS.
Squeezeplug came with ffmpeg and Lame preinstalled so all I needed to do
to connect to the new strea

seconds. I wonder if you system is overloaded.
The patch should not affect buffering per se unless rebuffering was

I have been trying to get the Play HLS plugin working on my Centos 6.6
system.
I have compiled ffmpeg from git and installed BBCiPlayer(Triode)
together with the menu.opml (Bonze) and PlayHLS(Bpa).
After this te streams do not play in LMS but ffmpeg on the linux command
line works fine.
Thanks bpa, I missed that thread but will experiment and report back
if/when I establish anything.

All transcoding protocols such as BBCiPlayer RTMP.pm are subclassed off

I have got the max2play up and running on my raspberry pi 2. However I

Live Radio 4 seems stable, as all the other live streams I've listened

I'm in the process of swapping some architecture around
it ran fine last week on that hardware, you coudl be right as more
people have fixed something to get to the HLS streams maybe its
overloading

Not constantly but occassionally. I put this down to the fact that I am
now using a Raspberry Pi with Squeezeplug which is probably slightly

Same on Windows but for live streaming it does appear that it is using
HDS.
The "sniffer" part of a program I have gives
"http://a.files.bbci.co.uk/media/live/manifesto/audio/simulcast/hds/uk/hd/llnw/bbc_radio_three.f4m";
as the URL for Radio 3 Live.
The on-demand Radio 3 streams seem to be stil

On non UK, playing radio programs through BBBC website/ Radio ... it is
still Flash on Windows and Linux.

Probably not relevant to your question but, from what I can see, HDS is
used by the BBC's own player on its website.
Touch, Meridian G92, Meridian G55, PMC OB1i speakers, HP Proliant
