I understand from the timestamp that these builds were created on August
2nd. The important changes were applied two weeks later (August 19).

Hi, I stumbled across this thread when I tried to solve issues caused by
the changes required for Tidal.
I was running the last official LMS Version on a Synology DS216play and
read that Tidal would no longer support MP3.
A switch to LMS8 was suggested in order to stream AAC files to my SB
boom.

apply a path to my radio. There is a thread here somewhere. My
Squeezebox Touch didn't need anything extra. It runs on firmware
7.8.0-r16754. My radio runs on firmware 7.7.3-r16676.

What was already 'announced'
(https://community.synology.com/enu/forum/1/post/130768), became a
reality today: Synology stopped maintaining Logitech media Server and
removed the packages from the DSM Package Center.
But we also have some good news, read the next post :)
