I'm just staring with MusicIP now - what are these entries for? And
should they really be next to browse options? AFAICS, they don't list
music.

Thanks for asking. Unfortunately not. I tried every variations of the
path description, but MIP and LMS wouldn't communicate properly. On
Sunday I tried to install MIP directly on my Raspi. Until now without
success, but I have still a few things to check

Any progress here?

OK, you're now connected to the MusicIP server on your Windows machine,
let's take this a bit further now

Thank you very much! Now I don't have the error messages anymore. But
Sugarcube still

The connection settings are under the Advanced Tab -> Spicefly SugarCube
and not under the player menu as they are not player specific.
You may need to use Dynamic Path Conversion if LMS and MIP headless are
running on separate machines, further details here;
The Material skin seems to be hard coded from what I saw quickly in the
code. It doesn't seem to respect the standard
Slim::Web::Pages->addPageLinks functions then all plugins that have line
items announce. If so it would appear but then I don't know the impact
of that which might be like an

On topic.
On my desktop with Squeezelite I use now the following SugarCube
settings:
SugarCube Mix Mode: Freestyle Mode
FreeStyle Random Track Selection: Specific Yer Range (Strict)
Random Mixing Start Year: 1985
Random Mixing End Year: 1995
FreeStyle Track Selection Type: Any Track (Default)

Sad. But it is as it is.:)
I am working now with the first genre as the dominate genre.
For instance Ambient, Blues, Chanson, Christmas, Classical, Country,

@cparker.
When I have tagged more Genres to a Music File Spicefly SugarCube,
MusicIP Mixer and MusicIP Headless Server only show the first Genre.
For instance:
I have files tagged with: NMIP\\Classical and also files with only the
NMIP tag.
In LMS webinterface I can see both the separate Genres:

I have a collection of 2000 albums with 32.000 songs of 700 artists.
20% of the songs are compilations of various artists:
Motown Hit series, De Pre Historie, TMF/Yorin/Radio 538 Hitzone, Dance
Classics series etc
Compilations of various artists I do *not* want in my mixes and also not

Thanks for the update to the plugin, and thanks for the settings
suggestion. I've tuned up the "mix style" (similar to artist) to see if
that changes things a bit. I have a large collection, but with 1/3 to
1/2 being compilations of tracks, and I wonder if that causes some
issues with the
When I go to player setting in the web gui and I go to don't stop the
music, I have the option to select musicIP, Lastmix, Random xxx and all
the other opportunities of online services, but not a way to switch on

How much Mix Variety : 3

One more request, in particular using the material gui which has not all
functionalities of the general gui: would it be possible to add a switch
for "Don't Stop the Music" (settings per player) to implement the
sugarcube on off switch which is only accessible in the very
sophisticated original

Hi
I've just rolled v5.00 beta which has a new interface layout which
should make it less confusing.
I recommend selecting -> Dynamic Queuing
NOT selecting -> MusicIP Vintage Mode
The rest of the settings are personal taste :)
Further details below, there are some quite fundamental changes
Hey,
about getting less "chaotic" results, I for one use MusicIP filters that
you can then select in SugarCube's settings (on Player level)
You could also try Recipes, ...
about picking the first choice, have a look a the "SugarCube wobble"
setting.
HTH
I've got MusicIP server setup on centos box, with LMS running also.
I've spent the horsepower saving musicip data into the 80k songs. And
now I'm trying to configure plugins to do something useful. I've gotten
past the technical hurdles of 64bit inodes, directory names, etc, I can
get
