Instead of starting a new thread, I thought I'd just build on this one,
as it's similar to the problem I'm having.
Downloaded all three files (slimnas-install.sh,
squeezeboxserver-7.5.0.tgz, and slimnas.tgz), and put them all on an
existing CIFS share on my freenas system.

Freenas 0.7.1 downloaded about a week ago.
I'll post the server logs, and the sc folder later in the evening, as
it's at home, and Im at work.
You say slimnas won't work with recent nightlies of FreeNas or of SC?

Can't define a path because the preferences page for photo gallery is
empty. I guess it crashes before getting to the preferences code

I should have mentioned that the above message is from SqueezePlay.
The message from the Touch is:

Please enable debugging for applet.ImageViewer (on SP/Touch), then check the
log file. It should show you the URL it's trying to fetch. Can you open that
URL from a browser?

'_480x272' at the end, which doesn't exist.
That's SBS' way to resize images. What's the full url and original filename?
There's a known issue with spaces and underscores in the filenames when running
SBS 7.5.x.

Settings/Advanced/Logging and make sure the Save logging settings for

create some debug info in the server.log file when you try to install a

OK - I have unzipped the CustomBrowse download file into the plugins
folder and restarted - and woopee I now have Custom Browse. But all of
my old menus are still visible so perhaps the problem all along was the
previous installation which still existed somewhere - goodness knows

How comfortable are you on the command line? You could log in to your FreeNAS
box, CD to the squeezebox folder then run:
perl slimserver.pl --user=www --d_startup

I have now set the path and it is working. Although if my path contains
a lot of pictures, I get an error and no picture can be displayed. Is
this because my NAS is not powerful enough to handle a lot of pictures
at the same time?
