Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Spotty Connect is visible but does not produce output
Hmmm, that was pretty much it after I filtered for "spotty" in the log. What I did now: - deactivate Spotty -> restart - activate spotty -> restart The log is too big to paste here, so I put it in the attachments. Noticed that waking the phone's screen with the on/off button - after skipping with Touch's remote - also makes the song pause. Waking up the phone Not having skipped with the Touch's remote does Not make the song pause. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 2.0.0 - Spotify Connect for your Squeezebox
You might need to use the Local Player plugin where Squeezelite then acts as a software player. Then you set up a Touch to use that player (Squeezelight). Then start a playlist from your android Spotify app, see to it that the screen of the phone goes dark, and now when the song plays you use the Touch's remote to skip to the next song and let play for a few seconds, and now when you wake up your phone's screen by using your fingerprint reader the currently playing song will pause within a second. At least this is what happens for me. And as said, it happens 100% of the time. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 2.0.0 - Spotify Connect for your Squeezebox
I've managed to narrow this problem down. And it's now repeatable. I'm using the Local player plugin and Squeezelite is the player and the selectable device, I then also use a Touch as UI (for having a hardware remote) - the Touch uses Squeezelite as the player. Now, I found out that the problem with the fingerprint reader waking the screen and then pausing the currently playing song, this only happens if I had used the Touches hardware remote to skip from the previous song. And this is fully repeatable. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 2.0.0 - Spotify Connect for your Squeezebox
right now spotty takes the first song from the queue and plays it over and over. That's not visible from your log snippet. I see three track changes. I think the repeating could happen if you tried to start playback from withing LMS after a restart. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Squeezelite-X
I see in the Microsoft Store telemetry there are 529 installed devices so far across 340 users for Squeezelite-X. I don't know if that count includes all installs or just those from machines that report it based on their privacy settings. That is still more than I ever expected. I wonder how many people total are actually running their own LMS servers these days. I am still amazed at all the functionality one can get with a $40 Raspberry Pi and the Squeezebox ecosystem. I feared it would die, but it will not die. This is all so much fun. Though my kids think I'm crazy while they show me their Alexa and Google devices playing Spotify. My son-in-law says I am the ONLY person he knows that plays actual Blu-Ray disks! Here are the demographics for Squeezelite-X: Age Group: Under 17: 0.6% 18-24: 2.4% 25-34: 11.8% 35-49: 25.5% 50 and over: 57.1% Unknown: 1.8% I fall in the 50+ category. So looks like I have developed an app for my own age group (mostly), haha. Under 24? 3%, haha! Gender: Male: 36.8% Female: 4.4% Unknown: 58.8% Interesting that 1.8% of people omit their age , but 58.8% omit their gender. Anyway I'm guessing that 90% of Squeezelite-X users are male, assuming the unknowns are distributed similarly as the known genders. On the UPnP/DLNA bridge settings page there is an option to enable the log (a tick box) and next to that is a link to view it. From the view you can copy it to a post on this forum (or if too large save it as a file and attach it to your post). The Logitech Media Server log file on the LMS Information page may or may not contain anything useful. If there is anything in it that seems to relate to the UPnP/DLNA bridge then copy a few lines from there to your post. LMS 7.9.1 on VortexBox Midi box, Xubuntu 17.10, FLACs 16->24 bit, 44.1->192kbps. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 2.0.0 - Spotify Connect for your Squeezebox
Now I've had the chance to test the Connect feature on Windows a bit. I'm experiencing a few glitches. Starting a playlist from the Android Spotify app using Connect by selecting my device starts the playlist fine but every now and then a song stops in the middle and I have to restart it. At one time a song in the playlist started without sound and when I used skip the next song started as it should, with sound... But what's more of a problem is that at least every other time I wake the screen on my phone with the fingerprint reader the currently playing song stops and when I restarts it it starts from the beginning. The last played song in the log is an example of that (after it having been stopped by the fingerprint reader waking the screen, I restarted the song and then had a little trouble manually trying to pause it so there are three or four attempts to manually pause at the absolute end of the log). +---+ |Filename: server.log (8).zip | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=24652| +---+ //Johan Windows 10 LMS 7.9.1 Local Player Plugin (Squeezelite) Intel Compute Stick ButC's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=57330 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108561 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
