Well I told you last time that before spending time on this, first you
should establish that your NAS is capable of running Spotty. From the
above it seems quite likely it isn't.
I also asked what Synology model it is and what LMS version you are
running, that kind of informtation is important if you hope to get
advice.

Any ideas?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty v1.1.0

2017-08-04 Thread 2eleven

First of all - HUGE thanks to Michael for this wonderful plugin. I don't
know what I'd do without Spotify, and I really don't want to leave the
squeezebox universe, so this plugin is a HUGE deal.

Naturally, I'm here to report an issue...

When my home network loses connectivity to Spotify (broadband issues or
similar), LMS gets wedged with this in the server.log:

[17-08-03 18:05:23.3127] Plugins::Spotty::API::getToken (115) Failed to
get Spotify access token: 'true' expected, at character offset 0 (before
"thread 'main' panick...") at
/home/slim/Cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/Spotty/API.pm line 112.

thread 'main' panicked at 'called `Result::unwrap()` on an `Err` value:
Error { repr: Custom(Custom { kind: Other, error: StringError("bytes
remaining on stream") }) }', /checkout/src/libcore/result.rs:859
note: Run with `RUST_BACKTRACE=1` for a backtrace.

Once this has happened, LMS is still running but unresponsive. The
players are unusable (for Spotify or anything else - local music
included - nothing can connect to LMS). the only solution is to restart
LMS. In my house that means I have to be around so people get cranky
when the music stops and I'm not around to fix it. I've done some
searching and found folks with similar errors but not exactly the same
issues.

I'm running LMS 7.9.1 (latest git as of yesterday) on Arch Linux, perl
5.26.0.

Anyway, no demands for fixes or anything. Just hoping this helps
identify an issue that can be made more resilient in some way. I speak
perl, so if I can help in some way, let me know.

Thanks,
John

With Max2Play I think it's just a case of going to LMS web gui then
Settings then Plugins and remove the old stuff (see post 1) and the new
plugin should be listed for you to enable.
You shouldn't need to add or do anything to Max2Play.

Michael: great job with this plugin. Shortly, I'll entertaining house
guests from the UK for an extended visit and I'm pretty sure they don't
share my passion for 16th c. polyphony. Thus, getting Spotify working on
LMS so my music collection doesn't drive them insane became a sudden
priority. I upgraded to a Spotify premium account and got the plugin
installed and working on my ubuntu lms box in less than 20 minutes.
Registration of "Spotty enabled Spotify for Squeezebox" in the approved
applications list on my account was automatic. Getting this up and
running couldn't have been easier.

You don't need avahi. The plugin just tries different mDNS publishers
and if it can't find any, it uses a built-in one. Make sure that you do
not have a firewall blocking the shairport_helper-osx, that it likely to

Which is the latest?
Updated last night, added a Spotify playlist to a preset button on my
Boom and Radio, still getting "Couldn't request non HTTP . . "

Also still won't play a Spotify playlist that's been made a favourite,

Hi deruesch

Right now, we're in Alpha test. There's a project portal that I invite
people to (teamwork.com) and all the documentation is there along with a
message board, ToDo lists etc.

When I move to Beta, I'll be removing the requirement to sign up for an
Amazon Developer account and leveraging the new(ish) Amazon Beta
infrastructure. As part of that process, I'll need to write the release
documentation and this will be part of the beta test as well.

Do bear with me. We have one remaining major piece of functionality to
build and test as part of Alpha and then we'll be v1.0 feature complete
and ready to move to beta. Things have slowed down for me recently
simply de to a lack of spare time but I'm hoping to blitz this the week
after next so stay tuned!

If you haven't already, PM me an e-mail address and I'll get in touch
(and post on this thread) when I'm ready for Beta testers.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread

2017-08-04 Thread StephanG2312

Dear all,

after getting a new iPhone (7) I decided to start from the beginning on
again and not to set it up by the backup. So I also installed iPeng 9
again freshly.

Now the problem is, that I can't playback any album. Also tipping on a
titel (the playback "triangle" in the album column is active of course)
doesn't play the title. Only when I tip long on a title and choose
playback in the popped-up menu the title will play. On the previous
iPhone I didn't have that issue. iOS is the most current one.

Thanks and Brgds

Stephan
