Ok, I've finally been able to reproduce the failure in the browser

doesn't make sense, but I'll figure it out.

What I find curious: If you look at the latest FreeBSD port of the
Logitechmediaserver (7.9.1.g2017.07.11) it explicitely states: - fully
support spotty plugin for Spotify support.

Not sure what that means.

Neither do I :-).

Now if somebody wanted to provide additional support for more platforms,
that would be great. I would be happy to provide the plugin support to
do this. It would really be easy.

thing I'd like to see queried from the API would be the "Songs" view
which is normally in the "Your Library" tab - you're already
successfully getting Albums and Artists at the current state, so it
should be pretty simple to get that list as well

Simple, yes. But I mentioned this before: the problem is the number of
items. I can only get 50 items in one request. People easily have
thousands of them, which would require launching dozens of requests to
get that list. This would take too long to provide a good experience.
Plus triggering dozens of requests in a short time frame could get us
blocked from Spotify.

Earlier in this thread, two posters, 'mrMuppet' and 'mnd999', seem to
have succeeded in compilling Spotty for FreeBSD. I'm not looking forward
to install my own Rust/Cargo environment and clone the Spotty helper

I have to, but maybe 'mrMuppet' or 'mnd999' are willing to share their

2017-08-08 Thread kezz

I'm very impressed with how easy it was to set up Spotty on my little
Arch X86 Toaster thing, and it's definitely a step in the right
direction as far as the platform goes.

I like that Discover Weekly and other generated playlists show up, I
don't remember that being a thing on Triode's plugin. I think the next
thing I'd like to see queried from the API would be the "Songs" view
which is normally in the "Your Library" tab - you're already
successfully getting Albums and Artists at the current state, so it
should be pretty simple to get that list as well (it was added as a
thing after LibSpotify was depreciated so the old plugin was never going
to get it anyway - it replaces a playlist called "Liked from Radio")

Thanks for your hard work! Squeezebox is better than ever~

First of all thanks to everyone who is doing the work to keep my system
going in the ever changing world of music streaming.
Now the tech question. I cannot get the new Mixcloud plugin to work on
my Boom player or SqueezePlay app. Works fine on my Touch.
"Problem:Unable to play file type..."
Using
LMS v 7.7.5 Window machine
LMS v 7.9.0
Note: Neither Windows LMS and Debian LMS work to play Mixcloud on the
two devices mentioned (all other plugins work on both systems connect to
the Boom and Squeezeplay)
And as I said, the Touch players runs everything.
Boom Firmware 57
SqueezePlay  7.8.0-r719
Mixcloud plugin v0.1.2

Is there hope to get my Boom to play Mixcloud tracks?
Thanks

was was easy to set up and is fast and robust. And Spotty works well.

Can we stop this here? As no one else is bothered with this little
problem, and my Spotify Premium ends in 12 days time, I'm not really
interested anymore.

I am only trying to iron out any bugs for my sisters sake. I'll just
tell her that making a Spotify playlist a favorite, and trying to play
it from the LMS favorites menu may not work, which isn't much of a
hardship?

Thanks.

Are you clicking the playlist item in the menu or the play button? Because:

That's from the page rendering code - which isn't needed to play a
track. I would expect this to happen if you tried to drill down to the
list or something (which, btw, worked fine for me, though the lack of
metadata would return an ugly list).

What browser are you using? What skin?

Ah ... so it means it does not even start. The only solution would be to
login to the NAS using ssh and launch the app manually to see if
something is spit on the screen

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] announce: ShairTunes2W - Airtunes on LMS (forked version with Windows support)

2017-08-08 Thread scala

Unfortunately it does not work. Setting the log level to debug, I
noticed the following:

Code:

[17-08-07 23:22:50.3308] Plugins::ShairTunes2W::Utils::helperBinary (43)
$VAR1 = {
  'binArch' => 'i386-linux',
  'uid' => 'admin',
  'osName' => 'Linux',
  'osArch' => 'i686-linux',
  'os' => 'Linux'
  };
  [17-08-07 23:22:50.3318] Plugins::ShairTunes2W::Plugin::initPlugin (210)
/opt/ssods4/var/home/SqueezeboxServer/Cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/ShairTunes2W/Bin/shairport_helper-i386-linux

which looks to me a little weird, but might probably help in the coding
(shairport_helper-x64-linux is needed by QNAP, instead of
shairport_helper-i386-linux)

No, this log is the server log, I need the log of the plugin itself,
which is another file. You'll find it in LMS settings, tab advanced,
drop down list castbridge - look at the logging part of the screen. No
need to change anything, just click on the link that opens the log

There is the 64 bit version and the static 64 bit version upon
installing the plugin from within LMS on the NETGEAR ReadyNAS 312. Is
the log file a couple of posts up that I provided enough?

The 64 bits version is the only one offered? In any case, there is
probably a bit of a log that I'd need to see (look at the plugin
settings in the LMS advanced setting tab

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty v1.1.0

2017-08-08 Thread Michael Herger

I have determined that if a player switches to another LMS temporarily
when it comes back to its home LMS the DSTM settings are lost.
It's no big deal as long as you know that if the music stops that's
where to look.

I still can't reproduce this issue. What other sources for DSTM would
you have? What is it set to afterwards? Always the same or seemingly random?
